Hive; Creating An Enabling Environment For Creativity

Hello everyone, and a happy new month to all of us. This is my first time in this lovely community, and I instantly admire the idea behind its creation, which is "helping newbies find their feet."

What one thing have I learned about hive?

As far as I can tell, the hive is a place where learning never stops. From the very first time you are trying to write your introduction post to knowing how to publish it, learning about the tags, learning about various communities, finding those communities that align with your interests, and then keeping up with the ever-growing blockchain. From the very day I became a Hiver till this moment, there has always been something new to learn for me, and that's the beauty of this platform.

You opened your app, read someone's photography, nonfiction, or reflective post, and then it struck a creative spark in you. Suddenly you remember a skill or some thought that might have been buried deep inside of you. Right there you realize that your stories matter and it's worth sharing with everyone.

As A Newbie

When I just got here, I remembered being a person with so much thought in her head, many unwritten recipes, and so many stories to share, but I never thought they were worth sharing until I became a Hiver. Then from my introduction post of just a few words, I turned into someone who has enjoyed talking about things she loves doing and sometimes talking about the favorite people in her life. Every post I made and every story I shared is like my therapy, a medicine to my heart.

Aside from Hive helping in shaping my blogging skills, being on Hive has led me to dig up a skill I learned many years back, dust it off, polish it, and turn it into a side hustle. And I noticed a lot of my fellow Hivers doing the same, because this place made it easy for us to want to learn more about the things we are passionate about; it makes it easy to share the simple things that make us happy. Hive would make you want to start paying more attention to those movies you enjoyed watching because when you write an interesting review about them, someone is going to appreciate your effort and, in the best case, reward you for it. And that photography skill you might not realize you got, Hive will make you discover it, and make you enjoy sharing every shot you took.

Creating an enabling environment for creativity

Among many things I have learned about Hive is that this platform provides an enabling environment to be creative; it encourages one to be better because, unlike other places, you feel seen, feel heard, and feel appreciated and acceptedโ€”the real you without any need to fake who you areโ€”and I think these are the things we all crave as humans.

Our Ideal world

Hive is what we want the real world to be; it creates our ideal world where everyone is working not just for themselves to succeed but to see others succeed as well because a win for one is a win for all, and a win for all is a win for everyone. Yes, Hive may not be perfect, but it's the closest thing it can be to what our ideal world should be like. Working together, in harmony, for the collective good of all. Where greed and selfishness can not thrive because the hive is better when everyone wins.

You see so many people embracing newbies and trying to help them learn how the platform works, guiding them and making sure they find their feet. This is why this space feels like home; when I'm not here, I'm always missing the goodness of the platform. This and many more are what I admire very much about Hive.

Thank you very much for your time and support. I wish you an awesome week ahead.

This is my entry into this initiative by hivereachout; you are very welcome to join.

Hmm... This is inspiring. I got better on my writing when I joined hive. I am not perfect yet but I am a better writer.

I remembered when I first joined hive, I was unmotivated, after writing so much and putting in so much effort only to earn very little.

I neglected the communication aspect of hive, the consistency, I ignored building relationships. I guess my focus lied on the give and take aspect, you write and get paid for your work but I was wrong hive was far more than just writing anything to post and sit waiting to be paid. You have to work for every penny and above all you need patients and to be consistent on hive, you need to engage, make friends while speaking through your writing.

I enjoyed it โœŒ๏ธ

Hive has made a lot us to get better with our writing and in many other aspects.

Yeah, a lot of newbies focus only on the reward side of the platform initially until they realize there is more to explore and enjoy.

I'm glad you stay around to learn more and enjoy this beautiful space.

Continue to enjoy your hive journey.

This is one place where knowledge grows. One can not even afford to not get busy because everywhere you turn, people are up to something, creating beautiful contents and it just inspires you to share what you know and from there you get even better and better.

This is beautifully written, you have captured what Hive really means to us. Most of us joined with a wrong mindset but later changed that mindset when we realized it was the wrong one.
