It's Christmas!

(edited)

So, it's Christmas!

Allow me to say a big Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. May you experience the joy of this season in your life and your home, and may you be filled with love to give and receive like never before.

Walking home from Church, I discussed with someone. He was pointing out that, well, this is the Christmas we've been preparing for. After today, it's gone. All preparations put together will go with it, then we hope for the next year. Well, that's the spirit of one of the most celebrated events or seasons in history. If it isn't the most.

While it's been discussed in this community and some of my previous posts on what Christmas entails, this is the day to show it forth. Yes, by the significance of the season, it goes beyond today. In fact, it's before today and after today. It's about understanding that Christmas translates beyond the celebration period, but it's about a great essence that touches our lives for the whole calendar year, not just this period.

Not to go into that discussion. It's Christmas Day, and what are my plans for the day? What do I plan to do or where to go? And since Christmas is about love, what ways do I plan to share this love? What measures and efforts do I intend to make towards that? I think these are the things to explore in this post. Well, let's get in.

Firstly, it would be nice for you to know that, at this very moment I'm writing this post, I'm seated comfortably in my room. I didn't really attempt to go to any place. Perhaps, yet. But for now, I don't have any plans for this day. Maybe I have, and this plan is that I'll stay at home after Church, eat food, meat and chin chin, take a rest from the busy and tedious past days. That's what I'm doing.

It's not over though. I might just still go somewhere. For now, I just have to take this rest and leave my plans open to what may be. How about sharing love? Do I intend to share some of that? Of course. This is one of the essentials of Christmas, and not doing it wouldn't be a complete Christmas celebration for me. It will be nice to reach out to someone and show that love of Jesus Christ which He commanded, exemplified and represented.

While I don't have it now to do it big, I desire to do the little I can and touch the limited people my hands can reach. My desire for this is to reach out to those who I feel will need it around me, and also to those who have been a blessing to me in one way or another. It could be about a little cash gift or even buying something they might still need in this celebration and give them, since the celebration still continues beyond today.

The resources might not really be there enough, but it's good to still do something. That's what I consider. So, we'll see how the days go. I'm hopeful to achieve this. That's it. I need to go and feast again. Chuckles. Remember to celebrate the season with the reason in mind; that's Jesus Christ of course. When we have such in mind, it will show in how we celebrate and what we do. Merry Christmas once again.
