Good day, hivers! October is on the way! But before we end September, allow me to share to you our last activity in this month, the science exhibit! It was held last September 23 and today, I will narrate to you the things that happened before and during the activity, stay tunned!

THE PREPARATION

Here comes the exhausting part. When it was announced that we will be having a science exhibit, I don't really pay much attention because it was a typical part of me that doesn't give a care to what activities the school is having unless it was related to my class or something. Upon hearing that it was indeed related to our class because we will be the one (STEM students) to actually do it, I got thrilled all of the sudden. Later on, I got mixed emotions because grade 11 STEM students will be coordinating with us!

I'm not really a socialist type of a person because I prefer being with myself, alone. So the thought of coordinating with unfamiliar people and explaining and talking to bunch of audience challenge the whole out of me. But there's no turning back now, I just thought of it as an opportunity to grow and try something new.

Fast forward, we were group into 4 groups and luckily, most of the members of my group are pretty familiar to me so I got less worried. It was a strict rule that during the exhibit, every hour there should be one pair of students that will explain to a total of 5 set of audiences and the pair should contain one grade 11 and one grade 12. It was also explained to us that in this exhibit, we would occupy a total of 4 classrooms and an outside venue which is in our school's covered court. The 4 classrooms would be occupied by group 1 to 4 and the outside venue would be occupied by group 5 only. Each venue, there should be 4 stations so every group must be divided again to 4 sub groups so that in every room the 4 stations would be occupied by each group.

By the time our group leader divided us into 4 sub groups, I got a little nervous when I was picked as a station leader that will be guiding my group in room 1 station 3. It will be a big responsibility for me and the fact that this is my first time to be doing this. But of course, there's no turning back now.

Another instruction is that each group should pick an experiment that we will be doing during the exhibit. At first, there was a misunderstanding between our group because we couldn't find any interesting experiment and an experiment that would give our audience a wow factor. Despite the misunderstanding, we have agreed to these 5 experiments and later on, we officially chose 2 final experiment.

Another is the making of our booth. We were only given one day to prepare everything and it was the exhausting part among all. From the layout of our booth to the actual making, it got us really tired.

IT'S EXHIBIT DAY!

Here comes the exciting and final day! We are actually more nervous rather than excited because we are the one to do the exhibit and it is our first time. We were pressured because we couldn't really recite the script pretty well. Here are the photos during the whole day activity:

It was all worth it at the end. All our nervousness, we nevermind it because it was fun along the way. The audiences, especially the juniors, were very interactive and made it easy for us to go through it although there are some that are nonchalant, they still made it bearable.

I did not expect that this first time turns to be the first time I actually did enjoy something from school this school year. It was not just fun, it was a wonderful experience that I would never forget during my high school journey. Special thanks to my groupmates, especially my members in Room 1 station 3, I love you all guys, thank you for the memories and for the cooperation! Without you, this wouldn't be possible!

All in all, it wasn't just about the exhibit itself, it was the bond we formed with the kids we once thought unfamiliar. It reminded me that every exhaustion comes the real fun. That's all for today, dear hivers! See you in my next blog
