While taking my first steps on Hive, I came across "The Pub."

Hello to my friends, acquaintances, and everyone else.

I am just starting out on Hive, guided a bit by my friend @elioe, who invited me to join this network of creatives; however, she mostly posts about music and doesn't have much experience with communities focused on other types of content.

We were looking around together—she is teaching me how to find communities that match my interests—and we came across this community, "The Pub," which she hadn't known about before.

I would love to learn from you—from your life experiences, anecdotes, stories, and laughter. Yes, laughing will do us all good. Our goal is to move past sadness and embrace joy.

I am 76 years old; I have lived a full life, yet I still feel the joy of laughing, being happy, and sharing things with everyone that might teach me how to be even happier than I already am. Long live life—my life and yours—today and always.

I bought a blue pickup truck (I called it "El Pájaro" 💙 "The Bird" ). I was so happy traveling around, thanks to that truck taking me everywhere—it was incredibly faithful to me. We made the perfect team. It never broke down on me.

I took care of the maintenance myself, every two weeks. That’s the life of a vehicle, after all... and, of course, you have to treat them well. You can't abuse them, because that truck was my livelihood for a long time.

Back then, a woman driving alone—especially at night—was considered almost daring, or even frowned upon. It wasn't really seen in a good light. But I was happy.

I drove on unfamiliar roads and visited new places, but above all, I enjoyed nature to the fullest. I watched sunrises and sunsets, and saw seas, rivers, and lagoons. Everything captivated me—and still does—even though I don't have a vehicle anymore.
