As humans living our daily lives, we can get carried away with the big decisions that reshape our lives, such as graduation, marriage, finding a good job, and securing an apartment. These kinds of decisions require our full attention. But it is not about the big decisions, rather the small ones we make daily.

Let us take a practical example first. You wake up very early in the morning thanks to the sound of your alarm. If you are an alarm person like me, what do you do next? You get going to your daily activities, which was the reason for the alarm. Take the next step of small activities that require your attention. Next up, make your breakfast, get ready for your job, and make your move to the office or place of work. What makes it a habit is when you get to do this regularly. Just like that, it becomes an everyday thing, and that is what habit is all about. Now this operation has become a regular thing in your daily life, down to the point where if you miss a singular routine you do daily, it becomes a bad day for you. Just like that, your day is already bad.
Now, here is the superpower that small decisions have backing it. It has the power of a daily routine. Take it daily, and an activity you do on a regular basis gives daily power for the routine. Making it a regular activity becomes an everyday routine for you, which becomes a part of you. They said a little drop of water brings about an ocean. It only takes one day, and the activity becomes distorted. It can be weird for you just for that day. You get up and take your routine, but you only left your breakfast behind. Then the day is weird already. The same thing also happens when you do not do a certain thing for a while. If you do not work out for one day, it is fine, but when it becomes regular, it can become a health issue.
The power of daily small decisions cuts across everything single thing we do, even in the things we love to do that are not so serious. During my free time, I enjoyed playing some bullet games, which could take up to an hour or more. It started as a friendly affair of keeping myself busy, but over time it became a routine for me, and when I did not do it for a day, because of a low battery, and honestly speaking, it was off for me. That hour not spent for me was noticed.
Also, be wary of the power of daily small decisions when it comes to the negative aspect as well. Like procrastination, it is a small decision that can easily be undertaken by anyone. Today, you can say you will do it later, and tomorrow you can say you will do it later. These things are easy to procastinate but when they compound, it can become an everyday routine for you. Making it hard to break out while the workload you have been procrastinating has been piling up. The power of daily small decisions starts with the same things you do frequently, that turns into a part of you that you barely notice.

I totally agree with you... the small daily decisions have great impact in our lives, positively or negatively depending on what habit it is.
Before the festive period, I was rearing chicken( primarily for the season). Every morning after my family devotions I go to attend to them before anything else. It became part of my daily routine. Now, having killed them, that task of attending to them is no longer necessary. But the funny thing is that, every morning after our usual devotions, I still feel the absence of that task, like I'm missing something important I hadn't done, lol.
Thanks, for sharing, Sam! Have a fabulous Friday.
Thank you! Glad you liked it. Have a nice weekend too!
It's my pleasure!
I totally agree with everything you said. Just like you said, a drops of water become an ocean. The decision we make have a great and powerful impacts in our lives, whether positive or negative.
Same here there's this daily bible devotions I do everyday, and if I miss a day without doing it, it's as if I'm not complete without doing it.
Oh nice. Daily devotional works too! Like the energy. Thanks for stopping by too.
A very similar idea is one that I always ponder when it comes to details. We always expect or desire a grand gesture from others, without realizing that it is through the accumulation of small gestures and actions that we bring something greater to life. Building on small decisions can strengthen our determination when it comes to the most important ones. Without a doubt, this is a vast topic to ponder and continue exploring š
I agree,it's something that has different angles to look at. Thanks for stopping by.
That "little decision " like we would see it can determine the success or failure of a person in a day
I typically snooze my alarm at least once before I actually get up!
Lol. But there should be something you do everyday right that you don't miss.
Seriously, the small decisions we make daily can have a great impact on our lives. I've noticed I'm starting to procrastinate on tasks that only take minutes to complete and it's becoming a habit I want to break. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it's truly inspirating.
