Chasing that pot of gold
If you squint really hard you might be able to see it. This actually isn't a photo of a rainbow, it's what they call a sundog, but it's the first time I have ever seen one in the shape of a rainbow. I was sitting on the floor in my living room cooling down from doing some work out in the garage, and I realized that I think I have already used this title in a past post. If not the exact words, then some variation of it. It would be cool if there was some kind of built in checker in @peakd that tells you if you have already used a title.
Kind of like the username thing on many sites that tells you that username is already in use, or you already used that password three months ago when we made you change it before. Something like that you know.
My wife and I are getting ready to take an extended trip, which means I am potentially going to be not as accessible on HIVE as I usually am. Given some of my recent posts about my concerns about the blockchain, I just wanted to assure everyone that I am not going anywhere. I just might be on vacation for a bit. In fact, if I do disappear, you might want to reach out to the authorities to have them do a wellness check. There are already a few folks on HIVE that I have considered doing that for. They just kind of up and left and I don't even see them on Discord anymore. It's sad.
The markets are marketing, and there isn't much else I am going to say about that. BTC is doing whatever, traditional investments are trying to figure out what is going to happen with AI, data centers, and Iran, and the people manipulating it all continue to get richer and richer.
SMR
My favorite nuclear power stock is in a bit of limbo right now. We are back down around the IPO price. I still have a lot of faith in the stock, so I really wish I had sold when it got up to $50 per share and then bought back in now that it is back around $10 per share. It's a long term hold as many of the past have pointed out. It might not be the favorite nuclear stock anymore. Oklo and some other ones are taking that title right now, but all it takes is one quick twist and things might look different.
One contract, one favorable piece of regulation, one actual product, and you never know what could happen.
Nectarbytes
A short time ago @bulliontools launched a new community called Nectarbytes. There is a token associated with it called ELIXIR. If you want to find out more, you should check out the link I left above. I'll be honest, I didn't read the whitepaper, but I have been following the founder for a while now and I trust him. I even picked up some sweet silver off of him in exchange for some HIVE a while ago. I'm not telling you what to do, but even if you don't buy the token, your support is appreciated. Too many projects and communities are closing up shop on HIVE these days. We need something to get excited about!
The Pub
Things have definitely slowed down a bit, but The Pub is still alive and kicking. The Discord isn't as active as it was when the fallout first happened from BRO collapsing, and the general state of crypto has everyone a bit quieter now, but we are still here, cracking jokes, talking crap, and having a good time. You should check it out.
Just a reminder, the HIVE community is open to anyone and any kind of content, but please be sure to follow the rules or your posts will get muted. There have been some in the past that I was kind of iffy on. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but if I start to see abuse or wanton disregard for the rules, I will find you and I will ban you.
Prolific
My experience with Prolific is still ongoing. Unfortunately, they recently closed the referral program, so I can't invite any of my friends in the US who might be interested, but if they open it again, I will let you know and you can reach out to me. I am up to about $150 earned so far and if I am being honest, it could probably be a lot more. I haven't been dedicating the time to it that I likely should be. Instead I have been playing Path of Exile 2 a lot lately since the new season came out. Once the shininess of that dies down, maybe I will get back to doing more studies and surveys.
As we head into the holiday weekend here in the US, I hope everyone has a safe and awesome time. Maybe have a hotdog (or two). If you live outside of the US and you don't celebrate Independence Day, I still hope you have an awesome weekend. I also hope it's a bit cooler for you than it has been for us. It looks like we might finally have a break from the heat coming this weekend. Fingers crossed!

Oh you do Prolific.. I started that almost 10 years ago when it was just a wee company for Oxford University. It's one of my side hustles and has made me thousands over the years. Enjoy the extended vacation!

In the past when I looked up some of those sites they didn't seem worth it. Most I came across would pay out like $0.25 for a 15 minute survey lol. Its good that you are actually able to make money on that one.

I filled in a government survey on environmental issues the other day and got a £10 voucher for it. I'll take that. There are sometimes surveys from shopping, but some of them are so tedious that I cannot be bothered as the rewards are not great.
Stay safe! I was think the about power stock for data centers I don't know how long it will take to get the small reactors approved.
