Hello fellow cyclists, last Saturday, yesterday, we took a trip to the city of Natal/RN. At the time, I discovered that in Parnamirim/RN, a neighboring city, a cycling event was going to take place. I didn't think twice and after lunch, I went to see the place.
Upon arriving, I discovered that during the late afternoon the first cyclists' event would take place, a competition sponsored by a famous bicycle shop in the region, point of the cyclist. The event is open to everyone, however, you must pay your registration fee, which costs R$20, have a bicycle and contribute 1kg of non-perishable food. "I was very sad not to have my bike, but I stayed for a while to enjoy the event"
I couldn't participate directly, I waited for the start and followed the squads with my car. The competition was exciting, whenever possible, recording images of the route during the event. The road was made of clay, full of holes and with many puddles of water, when I passed one of those mini lakes, I stopped the car and recorded the moment when the cyclists passed through the water, I took a huge shower as a result.
The competition challenge was specifically for experienced athletes, a beginner would never have the chance to compete with some of the athletes present, one of the competitors looked like a machine, he led the competition throughout the entire course that I followed with an incredible advantage over second place. The competition was divided into 4 platoons, however, the first placed team remained free at the front.
The number of women present at the event was minimal, the women's competition only had 8 participants. I ended up overdoing it and the people at the event told me that I couldn't follow the cyclists with the car, returned for the start. It was late, i left the event and continued my journey to my city.
Even though I didn't participate directly, nor stayed until the end, I noticed that the store is extremely organized. Among the cyclists, there were some acquaintances with whom I cycled together, while working in Natal/RN. Unfortunately I couldn't stop to talk to them, as I arrived practically at the competition time.
That was a little of my Saturday, until our next moment with bicycle.

That looks like quite a tough race. Nice shots with the splashing water.
It's nice to see that races like that are organized in your region.

Boy, before entering the world of cyclists it was an invisible activity, you only realize that something really exists when you belong to that group or search for it.
Over time, I learned that diversity goes by your side, the human being who chooses not to see it.
