ONE OF THE WORST VACATION EVER...

I am about to share a story I have never told anyone apart from my family members, this is an event that happened about five years ago and because of how everything unfolded back then, I have never been able to get over the trauma of that terrible incident…

The truth is that I regret the time I said yes to this so-called vacation, ever since it happened, I chose to keep that event locked up in a box and tossed the key in the ocean and now I am being pushed to break the lock on the box to share my experience with you all…

Since my last terrible vacation experience, I have made up my mind to never go on vacations I don’t know full details about, most especially the village vacations, I am never going back to any village for vacations again, I might consider going if the location is city based but a village based vacation is no-no for me…

Without wasting too much time on my introduction to the topic, I will head right into what I have for you all today which focuses on my vacation experience…

 THE WORST VACATION EVER…

5 years ago my mum got a call from her younger sister who resides in the village, the call was for her to come to the village for an urgent family meeting, and as the firstborn from her mother’s side, she couldn’t refuse to go, my mum decided to travel down to the village in two days…

As she was packing up her bag, she asked us a question, she asked us who was going to accompany her on this journey, my siblings heard this and acted dead to the questions knowing fully well what the village had waiting for them…

The naive and ignorant me said yes to this journey which was going to take a week, while packing up, I overheard my siblings talking about their last village vacation experience and then I decided to abort that plan immediately, but I didn’t want my mum to be all alone in this journey, so i decided to accompany her on this journey but with the intention of staying in my father’s hometown instead since it is on the same road, and when she is done with the meeting, she should come pick me up and then we will travel back to the city together…

Since kids were on vacation then, my cousins, nieces, and nephews were all around so it was more like a week vacation to my father’s home town, thinking I was going to have the best experience was the first mistake I made…

Before I knew it, I was on the bus 🚌 with my mum, and in about 7 hours I was in my father’s hometown all alone, I saw a house looking tattered and disorganized, I never knew that was where I was going to be sleeping for the next one week, the plan was to say hi to them over there and go to the beautiful family house to unpack my things( my thoughts)…

Little did I know that the tattered and disorganized-looking house I was in would be my humble abode for the next week, I found out about this too late, I couldn’t go back home nor could I ask my mum to come get me asap…

The last time I went there was when I was 5 years old and even after 10 years nothing had been done to the house, there was no good toilet, no standard bathroom, the building was completely outdated, there was nothing I could do than to endure it 😣 for a week because everything was already in motion and mum was already in her village…

I decided not to use the toilet 🚽 and bathroom for the next seven days, I will manage sleeping on the wooden bench on the balcony( oh yeah it’s a story building), for this to be successful, I will be eating less food and drinking less water to avoid using the toilet…

Things were going as planned for the next four days as I didn’t bathe and wasn’t feeling the urge to use the restroom, things got worst on the 5th/6th day when I lost guard and ate bean pudding for breakfast…

It was too sweet that after I ate it my system erupted, the urge to use the restroom started, and I ran to check if I could use the toilet upstairs, omg the toilet wasn’t looking friendly at all, i decided to go to my uncle’s place which is about 1000 meters away from the family house…

I was extremely pressed, my uncle's place was very far but at least he had a WC and a good water system, i decided to run to my uncle's place cox I couldn’t use the one in the family house…

I started my race and ran 1000 meters with a grumbling stomach, my hands were on my butt and I was sweating profusely, I got there and dashed into the toilet immediately, after I finished my thing, I had a shower and went back to the family house because nobody knew I left home…

I got there and called my mum to come pick me up immediately or else i will be going home myself oh, life was hell in my family house, I was looking tattered in just five days, not eating well, not sleeping well, no good restroom, no good bathroom, everything was just messed up…

The next day Mum came back and picked me up and we traveled back to the city and guess what, I fell sick 😷 that same day because of the water 👉, it was a bad experience and I am never going back there again period…
