Here in Canada it is Victoria Day, celebrating the birthday of a dead queen. MArking the first day of 'summer' by going to the park, cracking open a beer, take in the local May fair and Hyack festival. Which is recently sparsely attended because the economy just sucks. I'm sure our much more prosperous Albertans go to Dinosaur museums for Victoria Day.

Museums have become really expensive haven't they? It's too bad the economy sucks so badly, it slows down any festival. People don't want to spend money they don't have. Hopefully things will turn around after the next elections, but it seems more and more politicians are utterly incompetent...
Did you do anything special for Victoria Day?

I was planning to enjoy the Queen's Park's floral Gardens nearby but my symptoms put a kibosh on it. Spent the evening on a BBQ with my kids serving Bbq smoked seasame pork ribs.
