Not Only Luck but Consistency Can Make a Player to pull Out Legendary

Hello everyone, how are you doing today? After I upgraded my summoners to level; I decided to use the modern format since all the summoners I upgraded were chao legion summoners. When I started, it took me to a wood level, and it was very easy for me. It was an easy journey when I was playing at the wood level. I won 95% of my battles from wood level to gold level ll. From gold level ll, the battle became tougher; to avoid losing battle, I stopped playing to allow big players to move.
One thing I noticed was that it was very easy to play from wood to Silver; and it became harder as I was moving from gold ll to l. Right now, I’m in gold l, I’m heading to diamond lll.

The First Time I used Modern Format In Ranked battles
I know modern format is very exciting to play- the reason I don’t play modern format is that I have some old cards which are very easy for me to use. I have been using those cards for a long time, therefore, i prefer to use them in battles.
In the recent development, I did not have enough Dark Crystal Energy (DEC) to purchase ‘pass’ for the ongoing season, that was the reason I decided to try the modern format.
The first 50 battles I fought were very interesting, this was because I was because I was hardly defeated by my opponents.

When I reached 2,450 rating, it became difficult to play….. I played more than 5 battles to reach 2,500 rating.

Battle Rules

Maneuvers
All units have reach (can use melee attack from second position).
Melee monsters can attack in the second position due to maneuvers. That was the reason I used Gargoya Lion in the second position. I knew that the Gargoya lion would be able to attack in the second position.

Briar Patch
All unit have thorns (returns 2 damage to attacker when hit by melee attack)
This was why my opponent did not use a melee attack monster; I used melee attack because the melee attack had void ability.

High Five
You can summon a maximum of five units.

Placing Fungus Fiend in the frontline was my choice due to many reason:
To daly- as you can see, if I place it in the last position, it won’t function the way I wanted it to function. This was because I knew my opponent would not use melee monsters in this kind of battle. I knew that magic monsters would be more than any other attack monsters.
Ranged monsters were not appropriate to use because ranged monsters cannot attack in the first position.
Fungus fiend was eliminated at first attack by Regal Peryton; if it was Gargoya Lion was attacked like that, it would have been eliminated before receiving healing from Goblin Psychic. That was the reason I used Fungus Fiend as a delay tactic.

Gargoya Lion
Splinter: Neutral

Ability: Flying and Void
Health: 6 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Melee

Based on the rules of this battle, I was not supposed to use Gargoya Lion. I used the monster due to void ability.
After the elimination of Fungus Fiend, Gargoya Lion led the lineup. Throughout the round of the battle, Gargoya Lion was very strong against the opponent's monsters; by the end of round 1, only 1 health was left but it received 2 health from a tank heal monster.
The reason that Gargoya Lion survived the first round was the void ability; if there was no void ability, it would have been eliminated.
At round two, it was eliminated in the battle; the opponent's monsters attacked faster than my monsters- three of the opponent's monsters were the first monsters to attack.

Djinn Biljka

Ability: camouflage, Void and Weaken
Health: 2 ❤️❤️
Attack: Magic

Djinn Biljka was selected due to magic and void ability. Djinn Biljka led the lineup in the second round after elimination of Gargoya Lion. it attacked and eliminated the Magic of Chaos. Magi of chaos was one of the opponent’s deadly monsters- it has 4 magic attacks.
Scavo Hireling was the last monster eliminated in round 2 by Goblin Psychic.

Doctor Blight
Splinter: Neutral
Level: 2 ⭐⭐
Speed: 1 🚤
Ability: Camouflage, Affliction, Poison
Health: 4 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Magic
Mana: 4: ♂️♂️♂️♂️
This was my favorite monster to use in this battle- with four mana, I was able to pick other important monsters. One of the advantages of Doctor Blight is that it does not require a high number of mana in battles.
Damaged 2 heath, afflicted and poisoned Scavo Hireling before it was eliminated by Goblin Psychic. Even though it was not eliminated by Goblin Psychic, it would have been destroyed by poisoning.

Goblin Psychic
Splinter: Earth 🌏🌏🌏
Level: 2 ⭐⭐
Speed*: 1 🚤
Ability: Tank heal and Affliction
Health: 4 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Magic
Mana: 6 ♂️♂️
I needed a tank heal monster in this battle, and Giblin Psychic was the only available to me. It was very important to keep adding health to a friendly monster that led the lineup. It was one of the reasons all my monsters that led the battle were not easily destroyed. Without Goblin Psychic, there was no way I could have won the battle.

After the battle, I got 2,520 rating of which I was entitled to gold l rewards. When I opened the reward I was given Surly Drunk; a fire legendary monster.

I believed consistency can make one earn remarkably in splinterlands. This simply means that if a player always consistency every season, such a player may be rewarded with a legendary card.
Though, it also depends on the league you are playing but I believe with consistency, a player can make something from splinterlands.
