In this digital age we're in, we've got loads of social media apps that have tons of amazing features and user cases that keep users glued to their screens for hours. Social apps such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and the likes have different forms of content from academic to entertainment amongst many others, and even though I don't use most of them, in this article I'll be telling you which is my most used social media application and why it is.
Among the most popular social media apps, I'd say Facebook is my favorite and most used among all, and that's probably because it's one of the oldest of them all, and I'm just kind of used to it and the service they offer and how it has evolved through the years. I've had a Facebook account since the year 2009, and one of the major reasons I created it back then was to connect with friends and also meet up with new ones, and most especially because almost everyone around me has one and talked about it back then.
And since creating the account, I've found it to be fun and a means of entertainment and information from an early age, and then I mostly just used it to chat over the internet and meet new friends, mostly girls, because I was young back then, but then with time, I started utilizing it as a source of entertainment where I listened and watched the latest music videos and even watched funny comedy skits that got me rolling on the floor with tears in my face, all thanks to how funny some of those videos are.
Through the years, Facebook went from being a medium of just entertainment and connectivity to an avenue where I could earn cool cash and mouth-eating prizes. I remember during undergraduate days I used to get a message from one of the random ladies I met on Facebook to support her in a contest she was in, and on most occasions I ended up seeing a post of her winning cool cash or a huge gift, and so I became curious and asked her, and she told me she basically just participated in competitions hosted by different brands on Facebook.
And so I began to tail her and participate in those as well, and over time I also won amazing prizes, such as cash as high as 50k back then, prizes such as a school bag and traveling back, the entire collection of Neve products, a wristwatch, a phone, a microwave, and the like. I won all of them. Winning them back then just made me become addicted and glued to my screen, which is mostly on Facebook, but then with time I just stopped, probably because I felt I'm too grown up for participating or such or so.
Facebook is still the most used social media app aside from Hive dApps such as PeakD and Inleo, and what makes me use it mostly nowadays is just so I can get firsthand information about happenings around me, from global news to that based on my country, Nigeria, and I've got some content creators who share unbiased news, making their page my go-to place once I'm online to hear the latest, also following top news media Facebook pages to equip myself with information. I don't even know why I'm all of a sudden into news, but then it's the major reason I use Facebook lately, making it the social media app I spend the most time on.

Facebook?
I think tiktok is more trendy now than Facebook. Well that's my own thought.
Yea Facebook is my most use app, I don't open my Tiktok account in month except someone send me a link to check something.
These days I always say facebook is for old people because I’ve seen my old folks use it a lot.😂
Facebook is fun but I don’t use Facebook because I don’t know my way around it.
Smile that's hilarious, well I guess you might be right, cause although Tiktok and co seems to be the latest, yet I didn't evolve to it.
It’s just different for everyone I guess
