Good day everyone,
This week's contest is very interesting and innovative. I am picking the question "Love or Money". It is interesting how people run after money before considering their happiness. First of all, let us go through the definitions.
What is love? According to Google dictionary, love is defined as a strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties, maternal love for a child, or attraction based on sexual desire: affection and tenderness felt by lovers. Love is very important in life; without love, our world will not be complete. Most people move forward because of the people who love them. We cannot do without love.
What is marriage? According to the Google dictionary, marriage is defined as the legally or formally recognized union of two people as partners in a personal relationship (historically and in some jurisdictions specifically a union between a man and a woman).
According to the Bible, marriage is defined as a covenant to which God is a witness (e.g., Mal. 2:14). When a man and a woman marry (whether or not they are believers), they are joined together by God (e.g., Mark 10:8,9). Neither one of the couple nor any other person is to break what God has joined. Marriage is important for companionship and is approved by the Bible.
In Africa, a girl is expected to get married from the age of 20 years old. Before going into marriage, you must consider an important factor which is love. You cannot marry someone you don't love. When you love, you respect and treasure the person, no matter their behavior.
What is money? Google dictionary defines money as any item or medium of exchange that symbolizes perceived value. As a result, it is accepted by people for the payment of goods and services, as well as the repayment of loans. Money makes the world go 'round. Economies rely on money to facilitate transactions and to power financial growth.
Most people go into marriage simply because of money. You can have money and still be crying in your marriage. People who go into marriage because of money don't last in that marriage. Little things can make them want to get a divorce, but when love is in place, it is very difficult to file for divorce. I am married and I overlook some character and behavior my partner portrays, it is just because of the love I have for him.
Parents should encourage their children to choose love instead of money when going into marriage for them to last in that home. Money does not validate your happiness or a happy home.
"Love or Money", I pick love over money because love can bring money and money cannot bring love, except if it is fake love. I can love you and not ask for your money while I am dating you. I do not consider money as a priority, but love is my priority.
Thank you for reading 😍😍😍😍
A beautiful story from a good point of view, but these days, money seems to be more important
Yes, because they don't value love
Hmmm
