Fitness log - Day #1 here we go Again

Hey Hivers,

@mimismartypants here. My last post was on 27 November 2025. We moved 3 days later, and everything was just a bit chaotic.

I have been running here and there, then got sick in January, and everything just went out the window. Most days I reach my step count, but many days I don't. I made the intention to start posting again to be more accountable.

Here we go again.

I'm also shifting to a more holistic approach to getting healthy. Not just physical health, but also mental health and well-being. With 2 kids, life is busy all the time, so things can get crazy. So, I will be reporting on glimmers as well as on events that fill my cup emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

Log - Wednesday, 11 March

I've had a bad cough for 2 weeks now. So not doing anything hardcore. Went to the doc yesterday; he says it's chronic sinusitis. Gave me some nasal sprays and stronger antihistamines. Still coughing up a storm at night, though. So, for now, I'm just focused on step-count goals. Aiming for 5k minimum, 6k is better, and the best is reaching my Garmin goal count. And I achieved all 3 today.

Glimmers

Trying to live in the positive and be thankful for what I have. Here are some glimmers for today.

  • super hot today and got to go for a 5-minute swim to cool off. With my little girl.
  • making the kids laugh from their bellies
  • thankful for the little family I have and all the blessings alghamdulilah.

Setting some goals!

  • Current Weight: 74.1 kgs
  • 1st Goal Weight: 70 kgs
  • 2 workouts a week
  • 5000 steps a day
  • 3 glimmers a day
