My Image
Hello everyone, my name is Agatha Omotuenmhen. I am a Nigerian and a native of Edo state. I am a product manager by profession with over 1-year working experience in the IT world. I am a team player and love bringing solutions to difficult situations. I have the ability to learn fast and understand new products and stakeholders' wants and desires.
I am innovative and committed to quality in delivering products and services. A graduate of the Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria where I studied Urban and Regional Planning.
My first job after school was to oversee projects and manage people. It was a difficult task because I had to manage a lot of people who were older than me on the project and some of the tasks i had to handle were demanding and challenging.
At a point, I realized I could do more than this and that was when i had to surf the internet and I realized everything was revolving around technology and very soon the future would be all about tech.
This meant i had to look for a different career path. This led to me updating myself with the tech world.
Since I love solving problems, I decided to learn about product management since it would give me the opportunity to be creative with my ideas.
This brought about my working currently in an IT firm as a product manager. I came into the IT world as an Intern it was really challenging. I can remember my first task was to come up with a solution for a client and I had to do a demo on how the application is to function. I remember on the day of my demo presentation to the client, I was so scared and sweaty despite the cold environment. Am currently laughing writing about my first demo presentation experience.
This has made me better on the field and made me a better team player because have had to work closely with the different Product Designers, Developers, Project Managers, QA and the like. The journey so far has been an interesting one because it's up and down.
I love creativity, cooking, playing games, writing, learning new things and meeting people.
Thanks to @adetemi for introducing me to this platform, have been seeing her writing and this has been an inspiration to me.
I hope to meet a lot of wonderful people here.

African and continental dishes.
oooh sounds interesting! I'm from the states, but I think I've only ever had some Ethiopian food..maybe once in my life. I always enjoy learning how to cook new things, what are the usual meats that you use in preparing these dishes? I tend to lean heavily on beef and chicken, and pork when it's in rib form :D
