I rarely post on weekends but I feel very motivated to share some pages from my sketchbook. I don't use my sketchbook as much as I want to but this year I want to change that and make this practice a habit. Sketching makes me feel relaxed and not so tense with pressure wanting to make the portrait as perfect as possible. It gives me the freedom to experiment with new techniques and stuff.
So here there are.
There are more important things than outward appearance. No amount of makeup can cover an ugly personality. ~ Audrey Hepburn
Audrey is so pretty, it's hard not to draw her. So elegant and an icon even though she is long gone. I even googled if any of her grandchildren inherit her beauty and her only granddaughter, Emma Kathleen Ferrer, does inherit her beautiful smile.
You can’t control how other people see you or think of you. But you have to be comfortable with that. ~ Helen Mirren
Another icon, the classy Helen Mirren. At 77 she shows no sign of slowing down and still grace the silver screen with her presence. She is such a prolific actress.
This man needs no introduction. He was the main subject in many of my past posts. Here is the latest one from a couple of days ago: Jang Hyuk Portrait Series | I Fell In Love With Jang Hyuk After Watching Hometown Flex
That's it for now. If you read this far, thank you. I appreciate it so much! Kindly give me a follow if you like my content. I mostly write about making art, life musing, and our mundane yet charming family life here in Klang Valley, Malaysia.
