Hive engagement is slowing down in the weekends, while I was expecting it to boom

One thing that I have observed is that the Hive engagement is slowing in the weekend, while I was expecting it to burst. This gives me the feeling that this ecosystem is running better in the work week 9 to 5 hours, which makes it comparable to a job. Maybe the Hive users are engaging the most when they are working, not that I don't that as well. 😆 But when free time comes in the weekends, for some reason things slow down. Should I worry, should I not? Well, there is also an explanation behind this cycle: in the weekend everyone is spending quality time with the family and friends, thus that's explainable even if one would think differently. And I wonder if that happens the same with other social platform like Twitter (X) or Reddit and if this cyclicity really exists and if that's the explanation for it. I don't have the stats to support any of the theory, but that's something I had observed from the sidelines.

Don't get me wrong as I am also slowing down in the weekend as I have family obligations and a lot of activities around that. So the attention moves from anything else towards that. But whenever I have time to see how my article did and what engagement there is around it, I find that things are moving slower. If I would post that kind of article in any other workday I would get more activity, so my observation is that we all tend to our families in the weekend and just pop up on Hive and other social media and crypto platforms here and there. Which is totally natural and explainable, just that I truly had the realization of it.

The fact that during the work week we are more active on the Hive blockchain and elsewhere, means that we are chipping from work time to do that. Which is fine as while we take care of our duties, we want more and try to build something for the future. With the dangers that AI brings to the job market and the way it transforms industries by lowering the human workforce, we need to look also at the future through additional revenue streams and maybe some of them highly passive. For me having other income is removing some of the stress from these days and provides me a more balance view of what's happening around me. As a freelancer I am working based on contracts, mine will finish in the beginning of next year and I don't know if I will get a new one. But having more income streams and some money put aside, helps me sleep at night and think that I will be able to keep going for a period of time from that. There are hard times at the horizon for all of us, but it is upon us how to react and act on that. So my approach is through savings and investing to ensure my revenues will not simply stop.

While the engagement on the Hive blockchain is slowing down in the weekend, while I was expecting it to burst, in the end it is normal and it is happening anywhere else - when it comes to social media and content based platforms. People have a life outside of the digital realm and tat usually unveils in the weekends - some would say that they work and live only for the weekends to come, which is quite true. That's the time when we unwind and spend quality time with the family. In the same time in this fast pace world we are mostly connected all the time to our digital persona and Internet streams, thus it is not so bad to disconnect from that in the weekends. We are humans and we need to live and have real experiences and that's a good time to have it... and nonetheless once the weekend is finished we can write about it and share that with others. And that's what is building connections and networking in the end in the digital world.

Hahaha bro, that's exactly how it is.

On weekends, activities become slower because everyone is free from their homes and offices and spends time outdoors or stays busy with other activities. On Sundays, I usually notice more activity during the evening.
