Happy new year great people of hive, I'm glad we all made it to the year 2025. As the calendar flips to a new year, many of us feel a sense of renewal. Everyone embraced the new year with joy, celebration and hope for a new beginning, a lot of people had already set resolutions for the new year, we have visions and plans of things to accomplish. Obviously we need to brace up for the year, we need to strategize and set things in place, the start of a new year presents an opportunity for each and everyone of us to look back at 2024, to reflect on our past accomplishments, learn from mistakes, and set new goals for personal, financial and spiritual growth.
We are so eager to leave the past behind and start anew, with renewed energy, and a clear vision for the future. However, as we all know, starting strong is only half the battle. The real challenge lies in sustaining that energy and ending the year just as strong as you had started or much more stronger.
The truth is not everyone that begins strong ends strong, not everyone that had set resolutions will stick to them till the end of the year, most of us get weak on the way, most of us forget the resolutions we made and find ourselves repeating what we had left behind in 2024 and some of us have plans but we lack vision on how to get it accomplish and still some have made goals with no time frame and will end up achieving just one the goals at the end of the year.
Just like the bible rightly put it in Ecclesiastes 7:8 " better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof" The challenge here is not about the energy you begin with but your ability to sustain that same vigor till the end of the year. Reflect on yourself and the goals you have set for the year, are you ready to take a new start and accomplish that plan? do you have what it takes to accomplish the plan? What strategies and tactics will you use to achieve the goals? Are you truly ready to let go of past habits and patterns that may hinder your progress?
Here are some strategies to help you sustain the vigor till the end of 2025
CREATE A STEP BY STEP PLAN : Your goals need to be realistic, break them down into smaller goals, you could break it down by setting daily goals and ensure to achieve it on a daily basis. It could be on a monthly basis, this will help you to keep track of your ability and to be focus.
CONSISTENCY: never loose sight of what you aimed to achieve this year, put in consistent effort. Consistency breeds habit, making it easier to maintain the energy.
START SMALL: We accomplish great things by accumulating little ones, you cannot build that house you want to build in one day all you need is to start small, you might not have all it takes but keep building it, start small. There is no perfect time for anything to be accomplished, if you want to wait till you have lots of funds then you might not even do it.
TRACK YOUR PROGRESS: You need to have a record or diary marking out what you were able to achieve in a month, ponder on the setbacks you had, look at you weaknesses and work towards them, the following month, and always endure to celebrate small wins.
STAY POSITVE: Even when the going gets tough always remember why you started, a single negative thought can bring you down. Focus on the positive aspects of your journey, and don't be too hard on yourself when faced with difficulty.
So friends, these are some few strategy you need to keep that fire burning till December 2025. Remember, you need to be intentional, at the end you will have reasons to look at yourself with gratitude and happiness at what you have achieved so far.
Thank you for reading through and I wish you all the best as you sail through 2025!
