Reference for In-House Training: Economics, Finance, and Fintech

In our school, every Thursday afternoon, we have company prayer meetings. I am thinking that in addition to biblical exhortation, I would suggest to the administrative officers to add an in-house training in financial literacy. The goal is for the teachers and staff to manage personal finances and reduce financial stress by studying basic money management and fintech. With this goal in mind, I want to publish an article with links to the previous articles I published elsewhere. This will serve as an accessible reference once my proposal has been accepted. Hopefully, we could start this training next school year.

Economic and Monetary History

I would like to start with a brief outline of economic history and monetary history. This information will serve as a backbone for the employees to understand that the world is in serious crisis because of its current monetary system.

The 2008 Meltdown

The next lesson would be a revisit of the economic meltdown that happened in 2008. Most people I know remain clueless as to what happened then. As such, they are susceptible to mainstream propaganda that the crash was due to an unregulated market. I published a series of nine articles in 2015 to digest Tom Woods Jr.'s book, Meltdown: A Free-Market Look at Why the Stock Market Collapsed, the Economy Tanked, and Government Bailouts Will Make Things Worse (2009).

The reason why understanding the 2008 economic meltdown is important is because of the foundational role of the US dollar both in the global economy and the existing monetary system. If there is anything that President Duterte got right during his term, it is the identification of the role of the US dollar in our nation's inflationary struggle.

Context

The next series of articles would be contextualizing the problem to the specific situation of the Philippine economy. I think the three articles below would be helpful:

Financial Literacy

Financial Freedom

The Eurodollar System

Cryptocurrency

Hive

Many of the articles above can be found in my directory. However, I see the need for having a separate post for the specific purpose I have in mind. I intend to utilize this article once the administrative officers approve my proposal to have an in-house training.

Grace and peace!
