An Early Awakening: Honoring a Friend with the Hope of Resurrection

I woke up early this morning and powered up 101 BBHO. I forgot the exact time I slept last night. If I am not mistaken, I think it's close to two AM in the morning. If that's the case, I sleep only for three hours. I wonder why I woke up too early and could no longer sleep.

Later this day, we will have a chapel service, and the school will host the necrological service of the late Rev. Arman Mendoza. He went with the Lord too early; he's just 51 years old.

If I am not mistaken, I first met him in 2006 when I returned to our school to complete my graduate program. I am not sure what made us friends. Perhaps because we share a similar personality. We are both serious. When we make jokes, people don't understand them. We are the only ones laughing at our own jokes. 🤣

I will be the speaker at my friend's wake service, and the message that the Lord placed in my heart is about resurrection, the Christian hope. I am praying that the Lord's message will help ease the grief of my friend's wife and daughters.
