Permission Granted: Bringing a Missionary's Teachings to Web3

Yesterday, Rev. Sang Ho Bae, a Korean missionary in the Philippines for several decades, whom I consider not only my mentor but also a spiritual father, informed all the Filipinos who worked with him in a Facebook group chat about the completion of his expository series on the Gospel of Matthew:

Today marks the completion of my 158-part exposition series on the Gospel of Matthew. I am now looking forward to hearing feedback from my subscribers, so I would highly appreciate it if you could leave your thoughts.
1. Did you find the exposition articles helpful?
2. Do you have any experience sharing these articles with others? If so, please tell me more about it.

I replied:

Yes, I do. Actually, I was thinking of sharing your articles in a Web3 platform. However, I need your permission to do this.

And then he responded:

I would be very happy if my writings could be used for evangelism.

I then introduced our platform:

Yes, Rev. Bae, that's what I do in decentralized social media like Hive. Though many don't like religious content, there are at least a few people who interact. No one knows the extent of the influence of gospel articles once they are published out there.

And then early this morning around 5:54 AM Philippine time, he asked for our thoughts on whether he should continue writing articles. However, this time the theme would be different. It's more like life reflections:

I’m thinking about whether I should keep uploading my writings. If I decide to post again, the next series will be different from my previous biblical commentaries. I'd like to write more freely about my life experiences, personal stories, and the reflections that come to me during my morning walks. Since new ideas don’t come to me every single day, I’ll be posting intermittently, only when I have something to share. If any of you would like to keep reading my posts, please let me know your thoughts.

I then clarified if he already gave me permission to share his content here on Hive:

Sir, I just want to confirm your permission to allow me to share your content on the Web 3 platform. If you allow, these are the things I will do: 1. I will use my son's account (Arcel) to share your articles, 2. I will add an appropriate image to attract attention, and 3. I might give a shorter title.

His response is short and prompt:

I already allowed you to use my writings for the gospel ministry.

I am grateful.

Next time, I will share the first series he wrote on the Gospel of Matthew.
