The holiday loot is delightful!

Greetings everyone and welcome to another gods unchained post. I know, I know what you're thinking. "Man this guy is doing a lot of battlepass posts" and part of the reason for that is I haven't had the most time to crank out blogs in general recently, another part of that has been that GU hasn't really been producing too much that has changed the game up that much from the Guardians of Elderym meta. Not many new modes or anything else that crazy. This battlepass was a winner, but not as much of as it should've been. The loot is both viking and winter holiday themed.

This battlepass was for the overwhelming majority

This battlepass was directed at everyone in GU at least a little bit, and particualrly towards aggro war players (the majority of the current playerbase). It has various holiday themed goodies including a winter auros and a Xmas hat sheep emote. Overall pretty cool stuff, but they could've had SOOOOO much more this month considering it was a major holiday month that was easy to theme. We could've had many Xmas themed cards and aesthetics and instead got the same handful of stuff we always get. Good stuff this time around, but it could've been better. Hoping we get reskins of core cards eventually, or an alterna-art limited core set. Would love to see more effort in the AI or artwork. The revival set has been a boon overall, there is effort still being put in GU and it is still worth playing. These definitely aren't the heydays though.

Winter Vikings: But not very thematic considering

This war battlepass was the "Winter Holiday" battlepass, but considering that it hardly was all that thematic whatsoever. We had a lot of quality aesthetics, but nothing that unique or thematic. This is a very light critique, this battlepass was a good one. It gave war players some much desired aesthetics (or at least the potential to access them). "Winter Viking" battlepass isn't the most wintery it's more on the viking side, but honestly it's about fucking time for a viking battlepass anyway. The christmas emotes and stuff are fun, but maybe next year it will be a bit more spread out among all the gods and more fun and holiday thematic. Who knows. Below are some examples of the gifts given out in the Season 9 battlepass, love the viking aesthetic. Feels a bit sad we didn't see a bit more holiday goofiness though.

Talking Tidbits: My First Unfinished Battlepass

These months have been an absolute whirlwind within a madhouse for me. It's just the holidays, it's like that for most of us right? Right?! Anyway, this was the FIRST battlepass I didn't finish in it's entirety. Shame on me, for SHAME!

I still got it to at least level 40 but didn't get the extra sealed tickets (which are very valuable for me because it means I can stream some sealed for you guys). This is the first time in my Gods Unchained career where I really thought there might be a time "streaming Gods Unchained gets put out to pasture", and I don't just mean for me. Things definitely seem to be on the wind down, but there have been periods like this in other card games before massive sets and changes that reenergized the game aswell. With gods unchained it's hard to say, but you folks know how I stand...

so I'm still going to be playing and streaming gods unchained here and there. I just will also be streaming other stuff and trying to achieve the hardest difficulty or 100 percent achievements (often both), feel free to suggest anything or to come hang out and play with me also guys.
