Battle Pass Season 6: Aggressively meh

Greetings mortals, demihumans, gods, and everything in between. Welcome to another Gods Unchained post, in this post we will talk about the Season 6 Battlepass and whether it's worth it or not. This battlepass has a promo card, various unique new core cards, aesthetics, $GODS, and sealed tickets. Completing the whale pass also gives you raffle tickets for the Adusa variant raffle (if you're into that sort of gambling). Overall, I don't think the whale pass is worth it this time (at least for me). The aesthetics are for a god I already have cosmetics for, and the promo is actually just bad (not people exaggerating either this time it gets outshone by core starter cards). Despite all this I finished the normal tract of the Battlepass all the way to level 60, it spices up grinding dailies and justifies my repeated use of shit shiney cards while giving me sealed tickets (always fun).

Season 6: "The Loot"

The normal tier of the battlepass offers robust rewards and new cards that change the meta including Call of the Guardians (an exclusive promo card), and the new crop of core cards that now drop from core packs (not exclusive but definitely the first available access to them). This tier IS worth it. It refunds you 250 of the gods you put in by completing it and the remaining rewards are easily worth the 50 gods difference. Each tier of the battlepass comes with numerous packs that contain core cards and sealed tickets aswell. You also get ALL the aesthetics aside from the cardback.

In this whale battlepass (costing a whopping $750 GODS) you receive a diamond Battle Aurochs. A 2/4 frontline for 3 mana with the wild tribe. Pretty bad for the price honestly, mostly just a filler in diamond extraction decks (which are incredibly popular but not really the audience who is purchasing the whale tract). You get some starter diamond for nature, a few new gold core cards, plus you also get shiney core packs which have a variable worth depending on what you pull. This is a REALLY steep price for this tier this time. The last battlepasses had pets and and cards that are required to win at the top of the meta currently and were their only method of distribution (not a fan of that either but that's another post). With the new revival set asking for money each week for a new card I can't justify continuing to "whale in" to the battlepass with how much money GU is asking.

Talking Tidbits: Money Sink, Bigger and Bigger

I paid out the $GODS to whale into all but one Battlepass so far and this is the second one I am considering not taking the plunge for. The cosmetics are dapper, don't get me wrong. I just don't have the $GODS daily earnings to warrant it when a new exclusive card is coming out every week priced in $GODS, these cards have a high likelihood to be meta and I can't afford to miss them (But I can afford to miss a 2/4 fronline for 3 mana). If you are an absolute nature fanatic I'm sure this Battlepass is enticing, maybe even a must buy, but for me it's a battle.... pass. Not every battlepass is going to be appealing to every player, this one is "meh" for me (not that I was looking for a MUST buy Battlepass to remain meta relevant, but at least a "neat" promo card would've been nice). I'm sure some folks drooled over the emotes, cardback, and manawheel. Sadly I already have those slots filled for nature so I don't NEED this battlepass for the aesthetics and the promo is "mediocre" at best. Doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it, I just know I'm on the fence about it.
