Do Acidente à Vitória: de volta ao Extreme Freestyle
On February 9, 2024, a BMX accident rocked my world. My right knee, already weakened by five previous injuries, gave way. The femur broke, causing blood to infiltrate the spinal cord, the MCL was crushed, the ACL was stretched and the knee cartilage fell apart into 28 pieces. It seemed like my fate was sealed: I would never again use my right leg to skate, run, climb, or swim.
But luck smiled on me. Even with the broken knee, nothing separated enough to require surgery. Determination drove me through rehab. And then, in April, in the majestic heights of the Andes Mountains, I rediscovered my favorite activity: Extreme Freestyle. Even without medical clearance, for 15 minutes, I maneuvered my skateboard on the mountain as if nothing had happened.
In june, with my medical discharge and my knee restored to 100%, I returned to active duty. Recording for the Brazilian TV channel SBT, I enjoyed the Joatinga rocks with "Extreme Freestyle" maneuvers. Every jump was a victory, every combo a celebration.

Nunca tentei fazer com switch. Já fiz estático, mas para ser com switch teria que estar deslizando para poder direcionar como switch. É um desafio e tanto, rs, mas quem sabe um dia.
