Der Strand in Burgas in fast leer. Wo sind die ganzen Touristen?

Das Wetter die letzten Tage war eher stark bewölkt, kühler als in Wien, so um die 28 Grad, kein ideales Badewetter zum Sonnen, aber auch nicht extrem schlecht.

Trotzdem ist der Strand in Burgas fast leer, was mich überrascht hat. Immerhin hat die Stadt offiziell 200 Tausend Einwohner und im Sommer sollten noch einige Zehntausend Touristen und Reisende dazu kommen.

Aber wo sind die alle?

Dass der Strand fast leer ist, hat mehrere Gründe. Erstens ist der Strand sehr weitläufig und erstreckt sich über 2 Kilometer. Der Strand ist mega groß.

Zweitens denke ich, dass es gar nicht so viele Touristen in der Stadt gibt, sondern die meisten Touristen fahren in die umliegenden Ferienorte wie Sonnenstrand oder Sozopol.

Und der dritte Grund ist, dass die Bevölkerung eher altert, auswandert bzw. wenn man am Meer lebt vielleicht gar nicht das Bedürfnis hat, jeden Tag auf den Strand zu gehen bzw. sucht man als Einheimischer dann eher kleinere Strände außerhalb der Stadt auf. Klingt logisch.

Was sagt ihr dazu, dass die Strände in einer der größten Städte am Schwarzen Meer fast leer ist und auch die Stadt eher leer wirkt?

The beach in Burgas is almost empty. Where are all the tourists?

The weather over the last few days has been rather overcast, cooler than in Vienna, around 28 degrees C (82 F), not ideal weather for sunbathing, but not extremely bad either.

Nevertheless, the beach in Burgas is almost empty, which surprised me. After all, the city officially has 200 thousand inhabitants and in summer there should be tens of thousands more tourists and travelers.

But where are they?

There are several reasons why the beach is almost empty. Firstly, the beach is very extensive and stretches over 2 kilometers. The beach is just huge.

Secondly, I don't think there are that many tourists in the city, most of them go to the surrounding resorts such as Sunny Beach or Sozopol.

And the third reason is that the population is ageing, emigrating or, if you live by the sea, perhaps you don't feel the need to go to the beach every day or, as a local, you tend to go to smaller beaches outside the city. Sounds logical.

What do you think about the fact that the beaches in one of the largest cities on the Black Sea are almost empty and also the city seems rather empty?
