Hehehehe, I know that feeling of not being seen or heard. It makes one feel like there is nothing the person is offering and that's not true at all. Your gamble paid off, but it could have gotten worse. I didn't see the idea of you taking it until the part where you requested an increase and they were not ready to give it to you.

This is what some people do; they pay so little just to make the people they are paying remain where they are. They are scared of giving them too much power so they don't misbehave. Glad you did that and it turned out well.
