What I ordered vs what I got online: vendor wahala greets beautiful souls 🥰. It's the weekend again, and I'm excited to be here. Question of the week says. Has marketing ever made you buy something you should not have?
My answer is yes. I have experienced the disappointment of what I ordered vs. what I got because of the sweet mouth the lady used in marketing her goods. You know, one of the businesses I do is selling clothes online, specifically fabric. So I saw this lady online who sells the same thing, but then the color and design of her fabric are so beautifu and unique. And she also gives at wholesale prices too.
I also knew this lady back then in my university days. So I feel safe buying things from her, so I got some of the samples from her Facebook page and posted them on my Facebook page and added my gain, so some of my customers saw the fabric and ordered some. The truth is, I got so many sales that period because as she was sweet-mouthing me, I was also sweet-mouthing my customers.
People made orders of like ten fabrics at the same time, and I also ordered some for myself. I was very excited to make that kind of sales in just a week. But then the unexpected happened: I got the exact design, but the quality is so bad, like I didn't expect to see it like that. I didn't even know how to start giving them to my customers because they will be so disappointed. As the quality is very bad, But there was nothing I could do.
I regret buying those fabric. Especially mine, because I wasn't actually in need of it. Since from that day, I stopped buying things online, I buy only when I see it one on one. Thank you for reading through. Pictures are mine.
Greetings @tigrace, I had a similar experience. The product didn't even remotely meet the expectations and features promoted in the marketing. It's disappointing when you make a purchase and it's not what you expected.
I totally agree with you, I mean why could somebody lie about something that isn't true. I was so disappointed and so was my customers. Thank you for reading through.
