It's been a while since I published anything in this community and I really enjoyed posting something regularly here for a while before. I guess not having a decent content schedule in order caused me to disconnect from a few communities without the intention to do so. Thankfully, at some point I always find back my way to the communities I love, this wasn't any different with the weekend experiences community when I bumped into a cool post from @galenkp himself a little while ago. Thanks again for that snack idea, I will make sure to try it soon.

Now that I have figured out a decent schedule for my content with topics planned ahead for most days, I'm implementing some communities and their weekly prompts to the schedule so that I first always check their prompts to see if I get inspired, before publishing another ready-to-go blog that's prepped ahead in my drafts.

Sadly, I could not make it last week, I was too late to the party but this week, I arrived on time to contribute to this weekly prompt.

My choice: Silver!

Although I'm a baby silver stacker at this point, as I just started collecting silver rounds in January 2022, I can't leave this opportunity unused to show off the few rounds I love most.
As the header of this post already gives away one of the rounds I wish to share, let's start by the second & third silver coin that I bought in 2022.

Australian Silver: Chinese Myths & Legends collection

The first one is the dragon from the Chinese Myths and Legends collection and this one was chosen purely because I love dragons. They are beautiful and powerful and they look really artsy if you ask me. I was very proud of this second coin when I received it and hoped I could add a new one soon. I saw so many while browsing for them. Too bad for me it took a little while because every euro was saved towards funding our emigration last summer. I could not afford to buy any more.

That is until I paid off all the debts and the costs for closing the loan early, and had enough fiat savings to cover the costs of the emigration. I went back online to find more of the Chines Myths and Legends collection and found this Phoenix:

I have to admit that this has a more personal meaning to me than the dragon purely bought because of looks and personal interest. As you know the legend says about the Phoenix, burnt himself and later rose from the ashes. It also stands for deconstruction, rebirth, and renewal and this is where I feel connected to the Phoenix myself.

Having seen rock bottom and having to climb back up again without having to expect help from others, we turned around our lives 100% and started building again. Step by step, we managed to upgrade something in our lives, first living from a few hundred euros monthly to then having just 1200 euros monthly for several years, meaning the month was usually longer than the money coming in. Yet, we found ways to grow emotionally and financially.

One of the reasons we made it through the years 2017 to 2019 was because of finding Steemit and having a few very steady supporters (you know who I mean <3) not judging but supporting. Giving me the space to write, publish and then heal from what happened. Bit by bit every day. This is why now Hive has a very special meaning to me as well, I feel connected because I've seen and experienced firsthand how a few earnings can bring real-life relief and change your life for the better.

I started writing because of finding that first platform and now I can't even imagine my life without creating content. It's my way to vent, my way to learn new things and connect to new people. Thanks to this platform, I found the Silver Stackers community, always hoping and dreaming of my own silver rounds. I could not afford them until 2022. Real life always had some financial surprise for me making it impossible to afford such luxury. I'm thankful that this is changed, I'm happy to say that we came a long way. Life has changed a lot, but we've also grown a lot.

The Phoenix is a great coin to remind me of the place we came from and where we are today.

Hive Silver Round 2023

And then I did not buy any coins until very recently. First, we moved countries and had to buy most things which are very ordinary to use in your home, but all left in Budapest. Once we were settled, the funds needed to be saved for a car as life was very limited here uphill without a car, especially when my knee started to act up and cause me daily pains. The car was a priority and we made that happen the 9th month after moving to Spain. It enriched our lives so much that I'm very proud of that milestone as well.

But then there's this post from @silversaver888 sharing her new business idea: a Hive Silver Coin to be reserved and soon to be available. Having missed out on the Steem silver rounds as well as any previous options of Hive rounds if they were there at all, I had to have this one. I felt this was the right moment to reconnect with my love for silver and make sure to get one myself.

What's not to love? I wrote about the coin in this post a few days ago, you can read it here in case you're curious. This coin is not just a nice gadget to have for me but also symbolizes my journey on both platforms and where we came from. It will have a special place in my collection forever.

Conclusion

In total, I just have 4 silver rounds, and two of them are extra special to me for the above reasons. I hope to be able to add more in the near future, but first, let's survive the (very long) summer holidays as these day trips aren't exactly free either.
