Flying Vacation- Weekend-Engagement Week 304

In my country, traveling by road can be very stressful and sometimes dangerous. So I prefer flying vacations to road trip vacations not because I have plenty money but because it feels safer and convenient.

There are different types of buses, like minibuses that can carry about Seven passengers, medium buses for around Fourteen passengers, and larger luxury buses that can carry many more people.The major problem I have with all these vehicles is that they are always overloaded. Passengers are made to squeeze into tight spaces, and even after the luggage compartment are full, bags are still forced inside the bus, imagine luggages being placed right under all seats you can't stretch your legs backward or forward making the journey very uncomfortable and tiring.

Another issue is poor vehicle maintenance. Some busses break down in the middle of nowhere, turning what should be a 12- hour journey into two or even three days journey. This does not only waste time but also puts passagers at risk as a result, there has been cases of robbery, kidnapping, and other crimes on the road. All these makes traveling by bus even more frightening. I have been a victim spending nights stranded on the road though I have not experience those unfortunate incidents but the fear and the discomforts are beyond explanation.

The condition of the roads is another problem we face in my country that makes traveling by road a menace. Some so called highways are filled with large pot holes that if are not careful enough and ran into it, accident can happen and vehicle damaged. Bad roads can cause serious traffic jams that can take hours to clear. And sometimes robbers can take advantage of it to unleash terror and cause serious problem.

Because of all these challenges, I prefer flying whenever I can, not because I have plenty of money like I earlier said but because it's safer, faster and more convenient. It will take me one hour to get to the Airport from my house and once we board, it will take 45 minutes to get to any of the states am visiting on a vacation. Assuming I'm on a journey to visit my parents or in-laws within an hour, I will be at my destination feeling relaxed. All things being equal, within three hours, my whole journey would have been completed and I'll have enough time for relaxation.

I save towards my vacations, so whenever I plan to travel to spend some time with my parents or in-laws, oh yes, I make it a priority to book my flights early so I can get cheaper fares.
