This Saturday, I was finally determined to wean my baby from breastfeeding.
I bought a breast pump and a bottle, being ready for this new chapter.
I decided to try pumping some milk, just a few milliliters, to get my little one used to the idea.
As I was learning more about how it works, I was utterly amazed.
The gentle suction mimics a baby's natural nursing, lol.
It efficiently extracts milk while maintaining comfort.
In every pump and each drop, I'm feeling hopeful.
Then I offered the milk to my baby in the bottle.
To my surprise, my baby refused to take it. 🥺
My little one was so used to breastfeeding that the bottle was unappealing.
Or maybe the nipple on the bottle wasn't right for him?
Should I change it?
Or is there something else going on?
Though there were early struggles, I figured out that patience and determination were a must. 💪🏼
I will try again, offering the bottle gently, reassuring my baby with a calm voice.
This wasn't easy, I know.
It will be frustrating, and doubting, but as I keep going, with love and persistence, my baby will adapt over time.
In every small effort, although it was tough, it will lead to success.
Do you have some tips that might help improve my strategy?
Until my next weekend experience...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
