My Home, My People, My Duty: Why I Cannot Stay Silent.

This is a very beautiful topic. And it is one I can't even overlook.

Talking to if I would take up arms to defend my country. This as well will be a very big yes from me. Yes, I don't need to have a rethink, Nigeria is my country, Nigeria is my home, Nigeria is where my memories are, Nigeria is where my people as well are. So, no matter what I will stand up to defend my country. Even if my family members are not here, I will still stand up to it, because it is my country and I must not stand and be looking while it gets destroyed, damaged or overthrown.

Yes, a lot of us complain about the state of things in my country, and I say that because it is the truth, even I myself do that, and that's because there's definitely things to complain about. The economy is nothing to write home about, there's issues of insecurity, youths are frustrated, and even those who are old are saying things have never been this hard before. But even with all of that, event though all of that is true and valid, I still can't sit down and watch my country get invaded by some forces. I can't be in my home world some people come to disrupt our peace and I will stand doing nothing, nah.

Standing up to defend my country is me standing up against oppression, it is me standout up against those who are threatening the peace and security of my people and their culture. I am not perfect, and my country has a lot of as well, even still it is my home.

So, if there happens to be anything like invasion anytime, as long as I'm alive, I will gladly take up arms and defend my dear country, Nigeria. Because at the end of the day, home is home and there's no place like home.
