What an Ideal Weekend Looks Like to Me.

My ideal weekend is honestly very simple. I imagine myself wearing a shirt, short trousers, and a pair of dark shades 😎—just lying down outside on a wooden bench at the beach, somewhere quiet, where I can stretch out and forget about everything else for a while.

There’s a big tree nearby, probably a palm, and its shadow falls across the sand and tiled floor, keeping me cool. The sun peeks through in small patches, and with the sound of gentle waves in the background, everything just feels calm and slow. I’m not doing anything special—just sitting there with a hot cup of coffee in my hand, taking slow sips, and letting the warmth settle in my chest.

Right beside me, I’ve got my small music box playing softly. It’s not loud—just the right volume to enjoy the songs I love. Sometimes it’s old-school jams, sometimes it’s chill, reflective music that matches the peaceful vibe of the beach. Whatever is playing, it just makes the moment feel better, more complete.

There’s no phone with me. There is no pressure to be online or reply to messages. I’m not thinking of posting anything or checking who viewed my status. I just want to be left alone for a bit, with my coffee and music keeping me company while the ocean breeze brushes gently across my face.

Sometimes, I’d look up at the sky and just get lost in my thoughts. Other times, I’d reflect on life—where I am now, where I’m heading, and how thankful I am for little peaceful moments like this. I might even smile at a memory or think about someone I miss or care about.

That’s the perfect way I’d love to spend my weekend. A tree giving me shade, the ocean nearby, my coffee keeping me warm, and my music box playing the kind of songs that just hit right. I wouldn’t trade that feeling for anything.

Thanks for reading.
