WEEK 210 - COLONIZING MARS
Hello friends, the year is 2050, the Earth is collapsing, there is no more the weather forecast, the planet is spiraling out of control, there are more humans and pollution than the planet can handle, we are beginning an era of chaos. In the midst of the impending disaster, an unconventional solution appeared: colonizing the red planet, Mars.
In secret, world governments have carried out countless research and developed spacecraft that can take humans to this new reality, however, there is still no way to return. Survival on the red planet is not optimistic and will depend on human sacrifice, the planet's radiation levels reduce humanity's lifespan to just 4 years.
To minimize damage to our planet and guarantee the existence of humanity, a survival plan was created where 5000 humans will be sent every 3 years to Mars, they must work on creating domes or artificial structures that guarantee everyone's survival. Many will perish in the process, humanity has already accepted this, as it is the only way to survive.
Each country in the world sends a group of individuals who are drawn at random, I didn't go on the first trip, but I'm present on the fourth, several gigantic structures are being created, thousands and thousands of people work tirelessly thinking about the future of their descendants, there are few jokes around here, before arriving, everyone talked about Martians and ETs, after arriving, everyone worries about working and guaranteeing the future.
Living here is not easy, we use special clothes and oxygen cylinders to survive, without these clothes our end would come faster, death has become something common in my life, at one time or another a work companion stops breathing and abandons this world. The worst death is from radiation, when the stage is very advanced, some choose to take their own lives.
This is not the life I wanted for my future, but it is not the future I want for my descendants, I know that I will not see the end of all this, but amidst the difficulties, I hope that humanity can survive and build a bridge between the two worlds.
