It was a beautiful sunny day when I received a wedding invitation of a dear baby sister of mine who was my junior in high school and was latter offered admission into the school I was and she became my neighbor.....We received the cloth that was picked late so I gave it to the tailor late but she gave me the assurance of meeting up with it. The tailor called me a day to the wedding telling me she couldn't meet up with my cloth, was so frustrated but I thought of a solution out of the situation.
On the 25th of November I woke up,eat and went to took my bath then my friends and I started preparing for the weeding, My friends got dress and they were all looking beautiful so I wore a black dress which has been inside my wardrobe for the past one year then match it up with my Ankara as Gele so as not to look different entirely,we all look Good and head out to my Baby sis wedding.
On getting to our junction,a car packed in front of us and offered us a lift which we all accepted,he dropped us at the next junction and book an Uber to the venue. We went straight to the reception and happen to be the first person to get there so we took pictures and video till everyone got there, before we know what was happening, food was already flying up and down but non of them stopped on our own table,I called one of the server attention to it so she asked what we wanted,Two of us requested for Amala and others requested for rice, two plate of Ewedu soup was brought to our table expecting Amala to join after some seconds but we didn't get both Amala and the rice,at some point I was thinking of taking the soup and water alone, few minutes to that time we saw someone distributing Amala to a table then
I went there to pack two out of it,they wanted to collect it back but I ran with it,that was how the two of us that requested for Amala eat. After an hour still no sign of Jollof rice and meat so I went to meet someone I know and he help us with getting food which I also took another plate of rice because the Amala was digested already. We took pictures and the groom took his bride home.We were about to leave when it started raining so we have to wait till the rain goes down but the rain wasn't doing any justice so we decided to order a bolt, the first one declined it, second one declined it same then the third and the fourth one so we decided to try a tricycle. The rain has stopped and went to book a tricycle which charge us Three thousand Naira so we went for it, About thirty minutes of us
moving, rain started falling heavily and I was sitting at the edge of the tricycle,I was wet from head to toe,we manage the situation till we got home and everybody splited to their various houses and I went to take a shower and sleep.

Everyone's outfits look beautiful! I really like the bright colors 😁
Is it traditional for both the bride and groom to wear white for weddings there?
Thank you @grindan,No,it's not traditional to wear white, couples are open to different colors and atires.
You rock it well and you are so beautiful here. Weldone
You know I make the best out of all things...Thank you for the compliment though.
In every disappointment is a blessing. Most Nigerians tailor have that disappointing trait in them. It comes out when you least expect it.
However, I'm glad you didn't let that ruin your mood. Everyone looks beautiful and I particularly love your gele(headtie). The black dress looks good on you. I can imagine the servers behavior at the party. But the fact that you were able to have a second plate in the midst of all these,is quite funny. God bless the new couples and bless the attendees.
