Last weekend the girls and I had a fun-filled day at the Jos wildlife park in Nigeria.
Whenever Rejoice is around she always has a way of luring me out of my comfort zone. This time it was an adventurous hangout. We spent all day at the Jos wildlife park, surrounded by the wonders of nature. Every single moment spent there was a memorable one.
When we arrived at the park we learnt that the officials were on strike. So we had to explore without any guide.
Most of the animals were not happy, they looked either grumpy or hungry.
The first animal we met was the vulture. He was calm and looked gentle.
The second was a hungry baboon who refused to pose for a picture until he was given some biscuits.
The third was this bird that has huge beak, I guess it's a marabou stork or maybe not. It's name wasn't disclose.
The fourth was a pond of crocodiles, the water in the pond has not been changed since the beginning of the strike. They were all out of the pond, relaxing and getting some vitamins from the happy sun. There was this particular crocodile that had a dead baby crocodile in his mouth and he had moved away from the rest. I tried to stay put and watch what he would do to it but unfortunately we only had a whole day to explore the park so we left for the next.
The fifth was the king of the jungle and his wife. They were resting in the premises of their palace which is properly secured. The king I guess was angry and pissed off because he was hungry and all we wanted to do was take some shots and spend a little time with him. But we didn't bring him food so he got up and went into his inner chamber.
The sixth was my good friend 'Dusty' the elephant. She is old and cute, friendly and calm. We spent most of our time with Dusty. She is fun to be with. She requested an ice cream. I got it for her but fear wouldn't let me give it to her. So I asked Rejoice to help give it to her since she is a fearless soul. Dusty has a retentive memory especially when you offend her she won't forget your facial appearance she would try to chase you. I gave her the name dusty because she looks dusty although that's her skin colour.
There were other animals like the bull, cheetah, the grumpy gorilla, cobra, hedgehog and many others that I don't know their names.
We were already exhausted from going round the park. The park is really a vast range of breathtaking landscape, so wide and broad it could occupy more animals.
So we decided to relax at the park's playground. We ate and drank, oops! Food credit goes to Rejoice while the drinks were my humble self. After eating and relaxing we decided to have more fun, rekindling childhood memories.
I remember while in school, a few minutes before they rang the break time bell I would take an excuse to go pee just to catch the swing before anyone did. Whoever catches the swing would be in charge, you can give it to whoever you please at this point your enemies are at your mercy.
Although the swing was a painful one, it has no bottom balance but who cares we still had fun swinging on it.
The slide was another fun part but I was scared I could get injured so I refrained from it but watched others have a hell of fun sliding.
We had a race game but sadly I came second.
Hanging out with the girls at the Jos wildlife park creates a unique bond within us, developing a deeper sense of friendship. Together we engaged in meaningful conversations, shared incredible laughter and created lasting and remarkable memories.
As for me, it brought healing my way, stepping away from home and the hectic pace of my daily life, the wildlife park offered me a tranquil escape.
We all experienced the positive impact it brought to our mental and physical well-being. We got connected with nature and it was a beautiful and memorable experience.

Thank you!
Omo, I love nature and so I would love to visit here, but going around without a tour guide? Hmmm, I will be a bit scared.
I love the fact that you had fun with your friends and bonded as well, some times we need a break from our daily routine to just breathe and rejuvenate, I am glad you used this opportunity well.
I waltzed in from #dreemporr because I am an awesome #dreemerforlife
Thank you! The tour guide were on strike although there were lots of people there so nothing to be afraid of. All animals were properly secured.
How can the worker be on strike when there are hungry animals to feed? That's not good but I can see they you all really have fun with the animals most especially the elephant 🐘
#dreemerforlife

It would have been so nice if there is a tour guide directing you guys.
But I believe you all enjoy yourself and you have fun.
#dreemerforlife
Yea, but we did enjoy ourselves.
It’s totally not right for you to go around such a place without a guide. Anything could have happened but at least everything went well. How can workers who work at such a place go on strike when they need to care for the animals.
It’s good to see that you had fun at the end of the day.
#dreemerforlife #gosh #teamflash
I imagined that too but hey! We had great fun and thank goodness we were safe all through our stay there.
That’s good.
