My Saturday gig preparing for the upcoming Battle of the band at Tagbilaran City ☺️

Hello everyone especially to the active members of @weekend experiences community How are you Today? I hope you are all doing great and wishing you all have the best weekend experience it's me again @clarabels for today's blog, I'm thrilled to share with you all about the gigs we prepared.

My husband and I got ready early this morning because I am one of the contestants in a Battle of the Band competition. I am a guitarist and vocalist in our band, and I am very grateful to my husband and my cousin for helping me prepare and also for the emotional support. My cousin has already started doing my makeup.

We were fortunate at this moment because we were just here at the side of a small stall and the owner actually suggested that we do our makeup there since there were no customers yet, hehe.

Anyway, the Battle of the Bands starts at 11:30 AM at a park here in Tagbilaran City. Right now, my cousin is curling my hair Honestly, as a singer, being excited at the same time nervous never really goes away especially when performing on stage but I managed to pull it off, thanks to my husband, my baby, and my cousin who were there cheering for me with my band mates☺️ .

At this point, my cousin had just finished my makeup, and I was simply waiting for my band mates to arrive so we could start setting up our instruments.

By the way, I wasn't actually planning to join this, but my husband encouraged me to it’s been quite a while since I joined in a band, hehe☺️. I’m really grateful that, even though we’re married and have a child, my husband still allows me and supports me to pursue the hobbies that make me happy, like singing, and playing instruments.

At this point, the coordinator has called us to stand by, as other band members and participants in the Battle of the Bands have already been assigned to their designated booth. Wish me luck, everyone! 🙂 I’m not going to pressure myself, my goal is simply to share my talent and enjoy the entire process of the competition today🫶.
