Es gibt Gerüchte, dass Apple die Entwicklung der Apple Vision Pro 2 pausiert hat.

Das würde mich wenig wundern, denn VR ist bereits eine sehr kleine Nische, die vor allem von den günstigen Meta Quest Headsets dominiert wird.

Stattdessen möchte sich Apple auf eine günstige Version mit weniger Features konzentrieren.

Klingt vernünftig, denke die Vision Pro in der jetzigen From mit 3500 Dollar und kaum echten VR Apps und Games, ist selbst für Apple-Fans eine schwer zu schluckende Pille.

Laut geizhals kostet die Vision Pro in der EU derzeit 4942,38 Euro in der kleinsten 256 GB Version inkl. Steuern. Das ist echt heftig.

Was sagt ihr dazu? Denkt ihr, dass Apple Vision Pro ein Fail ist oder ist die Zeit für VR noch nicht reif?

There are rumors that Apple has paused the development of the Apple Vision Pro 2.

I wouldn't be surprised, as VR is already a very small niche that is dominated by the affordable Meta Quest headsets.

Instead, Apple wants to focus on a "low-cost" version with fewer features.

Sounds reasonable, but the Vision Pro in its current form with 3500 dollars and hardly any real VR apps and games is a hard pill to swallow, even for Apple fans.

According to the price comparison website (geizhals), the Vision Pro in the EU currently costs EUR 4942.38 in the smallest 256 GB version including taxes. Insane.

4900€ is absurd, It's multiple times more than avg monthly wages in most if not all European countries.

I wonder how fast the prices can drop in the after market, for it to be affordable for the average person.

The bottom line is that Apple knows they made something very expensive and not that widely used so they will make it cheaper and more affordable for when it is common to bring their more fucking expensive versions. 🤑
