Drawing from a recent twet that has been massively engaged, a long-awaited smart-contract feature was unveiled and set to use which has the potential of changing content creation and rewards in the whole of the web3 world. This smart-contract feature is known as EVEGREEN REWARDS.

Evergreen rewards is a content reward model that allows creators to earn crypto on their social content beyond the 7-day payout window of the Hive infrastructure. The model allows a content creator to earn perpetually from content depending on the value the content brings to the blockchain. The value here is really hinged on the number of views on the post. The Evergreen pool then pays authors based on the article views they get each month across all of their eligible posts which are posts published through inleo UI. The contract reads all posts published from INLEO and then tracks the monthly views that every author receives.

This is the FIRST TIME ever that Hive posts are rewarded beyond the 7 day payout window. You could have posted an article from Leofinance 2 years ago and if it's receiving 2,000 views per month, you'd be getting paid for that article every single month... forever (as long as it keeps getting views). - source
