It has been two weeks since I last wrote about updates regarding Altera, simply because there was nothing new worth commenting on. However, a very interesting development has occurred: a new liquidity pool has been added. In this instance, it involves a specific project rather than a mainstream asset @lasseehlers. I am not entirely sure what kind of project it is—I will look into that later—but the key point is that it represents something new. They opted for a pair with HBD, which strikes me as a smart choice compared to using Hive. That said, had it been up to me, I would have chosen BTC as the pair. I assume they are in the launch phase, so liquidity is currently low and there are no transactions yet, but that will come in time.
This is excellent news because it demonstrates that Altera continues to develop through its own efforts. Admittedly, the pace is quite slow—at least from the users' perspective—but progress is being made. Hopefully, we will see many more pools that generate significant fees for both the platform and the liquidity providers.
