Is 70k of SCRAP token a significant amount? Well, it depends on your perspective. For a Terracore player, it wouldn't be a game-changing amount, but it is still notable—it surpasses what the top earners make daily, fe @acidyo who mines about 25k scrap a day.
You might be wondering, why am I highlighting the figure of 70,000 SCRAP tokens? The reason is simple: this is the approximate worth of this account pool positions, which isn't a large sum—about $10. However, the total value held in scrap by this account is over $60, and intriguingly, this value continues to grow despite the declining prices of scrap tokens.
Blockchain-based game developers should recognise upthe critical importance of meticulously planning their game's economy from the outset. This planning is vital for several reasons, primarily because it directly impacts player engagement, retention, and the overall sustainability of the game environment.
I am sure it was stated from the start that the Terracore is not a game meant for those who want to 'invest' and earn out of it. It was meant for players to play it and have a good time.
The game development resulted in implementing sinks for FLUX, but at tge same time it caused SCRAP sinks to loose their effectiveness.
Why is that? It's because the major SCRAP sinkhole (crate minting) provides crates for the price stated in American dollars. Most players will not be able to keep up with declining SCRAP price against dollar, so it simply has been abandoned by players. It's not serving its purpose anymore. The only way ti resolve the issue, in my humble opinion, is creating more sinks to create natural demand for scrap.
I can't talk for other players, but since my perspective is that this game will not let me to retain the value of my contribution, I stopped chipping in any more. I'm not giving it more.
The way I play the game hurts the game economy. Whenever I claim scrap, I swap it instantly to swap.hive. By this way, I tend to earn few % when rebuying scrap for upgrades.
I pledged that this account will eventually burn its all value, but currently I'm still increasing position in swap.hive:scrap pool and currently providing over 1 % of liquidity of the pool.
The Terra.sinkhole Project provides liquidity for screap:swap.hive pool with an aim to secure and stabilise scrap price. I think game changes helped to decrease demand for scrap token because of decay mechanic. We shall see how this all will play out but I'm calm filled with hope.

For those playing the Terracore the answer is obvious - it may help your game. Those not playing might benefit from this Project as well, because it:
