Why ARCHON

Why ARCHON? That's a great question. As many people know there are a lot of tribes and tags to use on hive. Argon is always kind of been in the background for me, but I never really looked into it too much. I will say one of the things that attracts me to tribes and projects are the people who are running it, and the people who are involved with it.

The more I looked into arcon, I can see that it's an active tribe with lots of people who are trying to make it better. Some of the people within a tribe are what attracted to it the most. It doesn't mean a tribe will be successful or grow, but I do like surrounding myself with like-minded positive people. I tend to be happier if I invest my time and money with people that I like versus just chasing the fastest quickest dollar.

ARCHON is always kind of been around and interesting, I noticed it on posts before, have received some in comment rewards, and I see some of the competitions they have supported. They have been supporters of The Shadowhunters contest as well as other photography related contests.

I think ARCHON has the potential to stick around, and continue to grow. Given its current prices I think it is great potential to become way undervalued right now. I will not overlook the fact that it also has the real potential to go to zero like many of the other tribes have if the people running it and participating no longer value the interaction.

My investment into ARCHON

I've been slowly buying some on the market each day. But I will say that the bid ask spread on hive engine are very large. It was not uncommon to see moves of 50% or more in a day, or on an order.

I was lucky enough to find a way to move from 3,000 to just over 11,000 staked with an off the market trade.

My total investment to get this steak was between 100 and 120 hive. I didn't keep great records, and I was planning on buying it up slowly until this opportunity came up.

Benefits of staking the ARCHON token

I will fully admit I don't understand all the ins and outs of the tokens yet. There are some references to many posts about the governance that's taking the token will give you. I believe some of that is still under development or on pause, but the idea of being that those who stake the token will have more of a say and direction for the project. This I like very much, as I've had a very positive experience with the recent benefits of being a Sim millionaire in dCity. When you are a major holder, having the additional benefits, and voice in the direction and tweaks made makes you feel more involved in committed to projects.

As it stands I currently have just over 1.5% of all the governance. Well my share all comes from the stick tokens, I may have to look into grabbing a few minors just to see if I can increase it. At 1.5%, as of the last post I was ranked number 11 so just outside the top 10 holders of governing power. Not sure if top 10 is something I'll push for, because it wasn't a goal when I started. In fact when I started I only was aiming for 1%, but missed some of the timing of when the percentage of calculated and based I assumed increase of an old number that had not recognized a recent buy. Since I've already exceeded my goal and mentor of continued to push to be a top 10 holder.

Daily Drips

Another one of the benefits of holding this token that Drew my attention was receiving daily drifts of other various tokens including hive. As you can see from the payout today I hold the 1.5%, and got 008 Hive.

There are a number of tokens you receive as part of being a holder of the state governments, and while the drips are small, they are a nice way to benefit from the tribe.

Clearly none of this should be considered financial advice, do your own research, gamble with your own money, don't listen to random people on the internet. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I thought this was an interesting project to start to get involved with and a very long-term play.
