This is my first long post in 2026. This will also serve as my guide for this new year.
I got inspired by two apps: Hive Wrapped 2025 and Hive Recap.

Seeing my Hive accomplishments in 2025 gave me a big picture. I thought I was inactive, but my data shows otherwise. I don't know where those 316 posts came from or whether they are quality or shit posts. Also, those 2,401 comments remind me that though I am thinking that I became passive this year, the number tells me a different story. Perhaps I am comparing my accomplishment in 2025 with what I achieved between 2022 and 2024. The problem is I have no similar data as provided by Hive Wrapped 2025 for those years to come up with a data-based comparison.
The difference between the votes received and the upvotes given also tells me that I gave more than I received in this chain. I find that encouraging.
As for the incentives, I think that's where I got my inactivity idea. I ceased to do what I used to do between 2022 and 2024, such as powering up LEO every month, posting two articles every week about Splinterlands, and other similar activities. Instead, I shifted my attention to other layer two tokens. I think that's the reason why the earnings are low. To compensate, I tried my best to buy HIVE at least twice a month, power up a portion of it, and use some for my Hive Engine activity. Nevertheless, despite the outcome, I am grateful for the rewards.

As for the second card, this one is clearer. I claimed 889 HP and powered 1,500. So does it mean that I only bought more or less 700-plus HIVE this year? My manual ledger shows me a different data. Last November 7, I bought 218 HIVE, and 314 HIVE on December 4. That only covers two transactions. In my record book, I spent at least 70,000 PHP worth of HIVE last year.
Anyhow, the database doesn't lie. Perhaps some of those HIVE went to Hive Engine, Splinterlands, Bitget, and MEXC.
Another clarity provided by Hive Recap is the distinction between written posts and microblogs. Perhaps this is the answer to my question about wondering where those 316 posts came from. Anyhow, to be counted as belonging to the top 25% of active creators on Hive is a privilege I didn't expect.
During my early years on Hive, my target was to be included in the top 1,000 in terms of HIVE power (HP) (now, my rank is 1,314), not in content creation. I recognized that content creation is something I could not excel at because of time and other constraints.
Finally, favorite communities and top interactions. Yes, the data is accurate.

Well, I have a very positive price prediction for HIVE this year. Yes, you saw it right; that's $1.00. Whether it's wishful thinking or based on technical analysis and fundamentals, it is what it is, just a speculative forecast. If 2026 is indeed a year for altcoins, how I wish that, with Hive's strong narrative as "a chain owned by no one and governed by everyone," Hive will outperform other altcoins out there.
Netflix Movies
To divert, yesterday our family watched on Netflix the movie by Jason Statham, "The Beekeeper." Now, I continue watching "Stranger Things." I notice that these two movies keep mentioning the hive mind. In Statham's movie, crypto is even mentioned. I don't like to sound prophetic, but I am impressed with the scriptwriters and producers of these movies, and perhaps, we will keep seeing this type of movie in the coming days, and they will make the terms "hive" and "bees" more popular. Here on Hive, those words have a different meaning. I am thinking of making those movies as a "jumping board" or a "bridge" in introducing Hive to my friends and relatives.
HIVE Power
Reviewing my past articles, I observed that I made two HP goals in 2025. One is 12,000, and the other is 20,000. I did not achieve both, though I am close to 12,000 HP. Perhaps when I wrote the second goal, I forgot the first goal I published. In 2026, I would like to stick to the goals I made in the first article, and that is 20,000 HP this year. This would mean that I need to power up 8,000. Let us see how things turn out.
Final Thoughts
When I started writing this post, I had a different topic in mind. I want to use both Hive Wrapped and Hive Recap as an introduction to an integration of a biblical reflection and an inspiring but unnoticed post by @samminator on micro-investing here on Hive. However, the introduction has a life of its own and develops into a more than 500-word article.
In closing, I want to mention what I plan to build on Hive this year. Growing my HP and stakes in layer two tokens are already given. The top in my list includes LEO, SURGE, CENT, LSTR, TNVDA, and BBHO. In line with BBHO accumulation for curation activity, this year, I intend to focus on the growth of my alt account, @hive-as-mission. Completing a reading project of Christian Directory, a 17th-century book authored by Richard Baxter, an English Puritan, is a dream long overdue. I am thankful for both PeakD's snaps and Ecency's waves for aiding me in my reading project. Creating an accessible digital manual for young pastors is just an additional consolation for me.
As for the last question, yes, that's what I want to be remembered for on Hive—someone anonymous sharing about grace and digital assets.
