Splinterlands || Unbinding Cards

In a recent update Splinterlands disclosed few information regarding the current Rebellion Reward Cards and Soul bound cards. As it seems in the next season the game will go through some upgrades. New Rebellion reward cards are going to be introduced along with new abilities are going to drop into the battle field.

Few updates to take into consideration :

• Chaos Legion soulbound reward cards will go out of print and no longer be available in the Reward Shop. Instead, you'll be able to UNBIND them. Cards that have been fully unbound may be purchased, sold, rented, traded, delegated, or even used as workers on land.

• Rebellion's reward card will get the expansion which will be equal to same size as Chaos Legion's: 12 common cards, 12 rare cards, 7 epic cards, 12 Legendary cards. Also new abilities such as MIMIC, CORRUPTED HEALING, EXECUTE, WINGBREAK will be introduced.

Furthermore, these new reward cards will be soul bound just as it was for Chaos Legion. This is probably going to take another year for the players to get their hands on these soul bound cards in order to trade them in the market. This does arises multiple questions as of this moment.

The next big update was regarding the Souldbound cards. Now there are multiple things which are taken into consideration. The Chaos Legion soul bound cards, players will be able to unbind them and these cards will be able to traded in the market. Which was sort of expected! As the players were aware that we will get our hands on this cards after a certain period of time. This is indeed a fascinating news. But there have been few rules which will be implemented if you want to get your hands on these cards aka if you want them to be tradable or transferred.

• You will require a certain portion of DEC in order to unbind your cards based on the number of BCX that you have.
• This phase of obtaining unbounding cards will go on for 180 days. If not done during these time frame the CL soul bound cards are going to be soul bounded forever
• All the DEC being used in this phase will be burned and removed from circulation
• This will help the flow of the cards into the open market, which will probably help in reducing the supply of cards in the market

There are few aspects which will possibly help the overall community in the long run. Also not to forget there are always two sides of a coin. Some users will take this update positively, while some will not. This will bring in chaos and probably rough decisions along the way. I do not have any opinions at the moment. As I would definitely like to see what the whales of these games are going to say in this matter. As they are the ones who are going to spend the most in this conversion process. As at this point I would like to hold onto any DEC that is available for me.

But a fact which really intrigues me is the price of DEC! If this conversion gets to go perfectly than we might see the rise in price of DEC. If it goes above the pegged value it will trigger multiple events along the way. This might even help SPS get some support along the way. Although, this is just pure speculation at this point and I am wondering what is going to happen in the next season.
