Hive-Engine: How do I make a Lease Request for RC?

We all know that RC can now be independently delegated, which opens up a new avenue for RC Delegation Market. RC is also an asset, just like HP, Hive, HBD, etc.

But if you wanna trade your RC with another peer, you should visit Hive-engine.com and navigate through the Lease section. In the lease section basically, you can see the list of "Lease Requests" both for RC as well as HP.

We all are quite familiar with how to make lease request for HP. Today let's see how do we do that in the case of RCs.

First, go to https://hive-engine.com/. Then click on Lease. Alternatively, you can directly visit this link- https://hive-engine.com/lease

Then click on Request a Lease.

(1) What do you want to Lease?

  -RC

As we are interested in RC, you should select RC.

(2) Which account do you want to lease for?
The default option is your own account, you can also change it to any other alternate account, should you have any.

(3) How much RC do you want to lease?

See, RC is generally in Million figures. But how much? In general, from my personal experience, I think 50-60 Million RC is sufficient for healthy engagement and basic account activities. RC basically has its use for the basic minimum operation of an account. So other than that I don't think you need to park surplus RC particularly when you lease it by paying a certain amount.

(4) How much do you wanna pay per week?
This one is a bit difficult to answer. Because this type of market is completely new, so we don't have sufficient data to ascertain the general trend in the RC delegation market. However, I think 0.04-0.05 HIVE per week is a decent amount to pay(this is purely my personal opinion).

(5) How long do you want to lease the RC for?

This depends on you. How you want to engage with. If you are standing with a new account where you might not have sufficient HP/RCs to maintain the basic operation. So during the initial phase, you might need RCs to get going with your daily activities. But I think with regular engagement you can easily earn sufficient HP and RCs thereof in a month time. So leasing it for 4-6 weeks should be fine.

But I would like to add a caveat here that Hive-engine has set a minimum threshold for the lease request, which means your lease request can not be with a total payment below 1 HIVE. So make sure that you adequately customize your lease request so that not only it looks competitive and has higher chances to be filled up, but also you pass that minimum threshold payment of 1 HIVE.

However, please note that you can make payment in 4 different coins-- HIVE, BEE, SPS, and DEC.

Minimum Amount:-

• 1 HIVE
• 1 BEE
• 5 SPS
• 1000 DEC

BEE is roughly 0.4 HIVE, so to offset the minimum threshold of 1 HIVE, you can instead use other coins like BEE or SPS, that will serve your purpose.

Considering it's RC, I would request @aggroed to make it 0.5 HIVE, especially for RC. Because RC is basically required for newcomers and those who are in the early stage of their journey.

After filling up all the relevant details, click on Next and pay the required amount, your request will be floated in the market and if the offer is competitive enough, someone will fill it.
