Gooooood day InLeo what a glorious day today is as January is the year I joined Hive, I remember those days fondly and if I could go back as Hive was 15c I'd buy a heck of a lot.. except that's not true because I am buying $HIVE and $LEO now. Why?
Well let's be honest, InLeo is at the range Hive was 7 years ago and Hive in 7 years has gone up to a nice price today. I don't want to mention today's hives post as I don't want to Jinx it.
Hive and InLeo are still in early days and a lot has happened on our great Web 3.0 chain. From forks to UI battles, community wars and the people sharing their global lives and let's not forget how Hive has even brought clean water to African nations and built roads in Asia. Hive really proves that Online life can be just as exciting and welcoming as the real world.
For me that is a really easy question to answer as I still remember the day I signed up, there was a 2 week waiting period as I signed up with my email. I was new to crypto but it was the in thing and my wife and I had just had our first child at the time and was turning 1.
I was earning minimum wage and looking for a way to supplement my income to provide for my family. I had just got rekt on XRP which I sold, perhaps should have held as its starting to come back.
Hive blog front end was all that was available and I had no idea to what I was doing. But I managed to make friends with people from across the world. While I didn't earn much, I remained for the friendships I've made.
So if you're looking for a physical interpretation of what a 7 year old Hive looks like, my daughter is 7 years old although she turns 8 soon.
Throughout these past 7 years we've gone through alot together on this wonderful blockchain together. From sharing holidays, moments, reporting on the latest and breaking Cryptocurrency News. To even competing in my first ever state and national Body Building competition where I blitzed over 900 competitors to place 5th in my state and 5th in my nation.
Lately I've added motivational shorts and some humorous shorts to my collection as well as creating my own @threespeak show with my kids exploring Melbourne and more broadly Australia. Although I'm not sure if many of you have been watching. If you're not, you're missing out on some really good tourist and fun things to do!
Don't worry if you have, there will be plenty more coming and we've been pinning places on @worldmappin so if you're ever in our patch of the globe you'll know where to go and what to see.
One of the awesome things to do on Hive is joining one of the wonderful communities which have absolutely grown to cover a broad range of different interests. Lately I've been following along the grilling community. As a middle aged man and a dad, grilling and smoking meat is definitely high up there on my interests lists.
There's something magical creating a succulent meal and watching your kids say "yuuuuuum". You want to set the food standards pretty high for future partners to know what they're up against when it comes to a days meal lol.
InLeo has been one of my favourite communities also, I wasn't much of a crypto know it but once @leofinance came around and the United, collective community knowledge it has brought its enabled many to learn more.
Yes there have been ups and downs but that's part of the game and that's why there are only a few OGs left. Those who have stuck around have done well.
As for me, I'm still waiting for my refund from Skippie rug pull from Do Kwon that killed my project. But once that comes (thank you United States of America) I'll be looking at expanding and growing my stack as well as delivering on my commitment.
At the moment, lips are sealed as its better to work in silence and than deliver.
Happy Hive Birthday to me!

Merry Hive anniversary @melbourneswest, I not out of the Christmas spirit yet.
thank you, we're on holidays so still holiday period for us
Congrats on your 7th year! I am coming up on that myself, I forgot that you joined a few months before I did :D.
The growth and changes that Hive has experienced over those years is pretty wild! It's pretty cool to look back on where things were 5 years ago and where it is today. Remember just having people you followed, and then searching post tags to find content? Communities seems so basic.. but wasn't done for a while LOL
I know right. @ocd and @acidyo have played a big role in growing community incubation with many competitions and support over the years. So it's been great watching $HiVE and it's ecosystem grow.
Congratulation on 7 years that's fantastic. How is the humidity in north Queensland this time of year, must be way different to that dry Melbourne summer days I remember.
thank you brother. I don't mind it. Bit hard in the morning but often cools down by now
Happy Anniversary!
And by the way, you look fit as fuck. Maybe one day I'll get flat abbs as well...
thank you
