Why Do You Create on Hive?

A lot has happened to me recently, and my life has changed in a variety of ways; however, I am no longer eager to share these details because I consider them too sensitive.

I have not met any pediatricians, OBGYNs, primary care physicians, or hematologists here. Perhaps these people would have been the appropriate people to share this information with.

I have met people who have talked about doing surgeries and having medical conditions; imagine if these people had access to specialist health care content creators with whom they could communicate, bringing a new level of dynamism to the Hive use case.

However, without people like this, it is probably not a good idea to share these details publicly because no one will benefit from them, and most people do not care. However, I have gone on to share this information with those close to me here, and I am grateful that we have multiple ways to communicate outside of the Hive.

Content Dynamism

It is fascinating how we can shift from one type of creator to another, and how life can influence this.

I used to make money by writing content for private blogs. They were soulless contents, as no one could tell who created them simply by reading. On Hive, things are different. People who follow you closely will understand what and who you are based on the order and continuity of your content, particularly what you choose to share.

The majority of people, at least 70%, are soulful creators who enjoy sharing their lives. It would be difficult for them to do so on Facebook or another platform. Like it or not, Hive makes you more real; you inject your ideas and passion, and it shows in how you use the chain.

Currently, I enjoy creating cryptocurrency-related content and reading about it. It is the most relevant type of content nowadays, and I appreciate how easily I can transition from one to the other.

Hive rewards adaptability; the more adaptable you are, the easier it is to switch between types of content you can create. I have read that some people say Hive makes it difficult for them to do other things, but in reality, the experience changes people and helps them become more expressive.

People you follow can have an impact on the content you create, among other things.

There are some people who do not need to say much to be relevant

However, at the end of the day, what matters is your ability to sell yourself individually, not your ability to create. I have known a lot of content over the years, and only a few have made this their home. There are those who constantly chase whale votes till they can no longer.

There are those who have actively engaged with communities and remain relevant today. Some people only participate in "upvote conversations" rather than enjoy the experience.

I have made friends with people through our shared traumatic experience, and we have come together to support one another. Most of the time, it is more than just the positive aspects. There are times in life when people form friendships with others because of how bad their lives have turned out.

People bond during difficult times and end up being the best companions when things get better.

On Hive, you can literally make acquaintances over anything, but some people make their hive experience all about chasing everything that glitters, which gets them out faster than they came in.

In my Christian journey and search for God, I have met people who have had similar experiences, and as a result, we have grown close and bonded.

Hive Is Unique

.......in that it allows you to meet and get to know people, and these experiences can shape the type of creator you become. You do not always have to be the best creator, which is what makes Hive so dynamic.

My point is that Hive largely determines the type of creator you become, including the community you join, the people you follow, and the types of content you consume, don't fight it, allow it to do so, it generate brings you closer to the people you should follow.

In the past and even now there was this practice of writing focused content on a particular account / blog, because that's what your followers want to read... Maybe, to a degree, it can be true.

On the other hand, an author can experiment, can try out different topics and express their interest in different domains. Plus the human, life side, which some show, others don't, and the degree varies from person to person.

I believe the second approach makes an account more interesting than a monotonous content, as interesting or useful as it may be.

I also don't like monotonous contents and the idea of writing for an audience is not completely something I like too. Writing for an audience comes off an Money-oriented and this isn't something that should be severely done.
I have experimented over the years and to be honest it's be best way to find the perfect blend, if there's something like that.

I don't think a follower wants to read the same type of content, most consumer just wants something good

Have you looked at communities or thought about creating one? Remember that people come here usually for the payout and usually the expertise is not as prominent.

I had my experience with python. However, just like I did, brought my own community with me, sharing my articles with targeted forums and other specialized mediums and then promote the group so others join my community as well.

I don't know whether you mean python as in programming language. Well if anyone comes for the payout alone, it's just going to be hard, just like getting monetized on web2 platforms and other places is quite hard too..

Yeah, like most viral stuff.
Yeah I meant the programming language. The hive community is not very specialized and enjoys more light reading than technical or scientific papers.

Exactly how things work here, the content I provide has changed over time. Sometimes I share things that maybe no one else cares about. But at least I have fun! The communities you engage with do affect what you share, and people should join the communities they feel comfortable in. I have a lot of fun here, and I really only interact with people that I enjoy sharing with. We've both had health issues that helped us connect, and the support you can get here is real.

I really love it here, and I can tell when others do too. Those are the people you like to engage!

It's fun here and that's what we can all collectively agree on. This place has been home to me in many aspects and all the support and benefits I've enjoyed is unmatchable. I have learned what a try web3 space and how powerful an ecosystem this place is.
Yeah, sometimes we create to have fun, and some other times we create for other purposes, at the end, someone out there gets to engage and provide value and extract value too.
Exactly, there's this vibe that comes with people that loves it here.

I think that some people who add something special to their blog with unique content or provide some personal details stand out from those who just go through the motions with semi-automated content each day. Sadly, once you lose someones interest, it is not easy to get your readers back.

Yes, a unique human touch definitely sells and it's exciting. I know some creators who I like their contents, but the contents are soul-less and it makes it boring to read to the end. Sometimes I don't bother.

I really liked reading this post of yours because you described very well what Hive is and especially how it influences content writing. I for example in the beginning I used to write posts totally different from what I write today, then since I discovered Hive games they were the ones that dragged me into writing because writing about games I like and most of all I enjoy it.

Since you've discovered gaming, you've made it your thing. Infact your gaming contents are one of the best on the Blockchain, and it has become your passion and you've honed it well. For me, it was writing finance and crypto even when I didn't start doing this from the beginning.
Just like you, I also enjoy what I create here.

Thanks for the Curation.

I often wonder if Hive could become and improved version of Reddit or Quora. Those places, especially Reddit, have discussion on every topic under the sun.

Why do I create on Hive?

There are many reasons, but I'll give you one. I believe in freedom and in using tools that will allow you to exchange value and communication without permission, oversight or censorship from a third party. I come here all the time as a user of #freedomtools, so that my fellow freedom-tool-users will recognize me in 2030 and say "hey, there's that guy with the yellow shades and magenta hoodie, he's legit, he's been preaching and teaching freedomtools for ages" :)

I wonder too, Reddit has this subgroups where you can find vast information. Through my journey with kidney disease I've found a lot of information on Reddit, although I know that Hive has its thing, I hope one day we can morph into that place where we can have these powerful sub-communities, although we're still small, so it might take a long time.

Thanks for stating the reason why you create, this places offers a lot of freedom and sometimes we even underestimate this freedom. I've read your posts a lot and they're inspirational, especially your journey as a music creator

I love hive, I've come to connect with few people i get comfortable with, most times their content draws me closer to them while some are the challenges they've faxed in the past.

I've had the same experience of wanting to share something but it's gonna be too sensitive to write about it, i wish we had DM her on hive, where we can get to chat other people privately.
It's gonna be nice if we had DM'S on hive.

0.00168781 BEE

You can use discord when you want to connect deeply with people, or better still you can just ask them for their Whatsapp contact and they'll give you.
Most of the people I've come to know, I asked for their contacts or they asked for mine and we've been talking on Whatsapp

The more I explore Hive, the larger it seems. I always knew there were a bunch of subcommunities around the blockchain but I'm now seeing just how deep the rabbit hole goes. I agree it determines what kind of content you focus on but at least there are many options to choose from.

0.00111560 BEE

There are many options to choose from. I haven't even explored half the sub-communities we have here, but since I major read finance contents, that's where I've centered my contents all these years. For example, you've added some spark to your contents and people can see you more from your posts.

0.00002214 BEE

I guess Hive is everything one can Hive can make one become a good and relevant creator they desire to be, and equally build connection, which is actually key to being relevant.

0.00111230 BEE

That's true, building connections, genuine ones not based on anything that's sinister.

0E-8 BEE

That's absolutely right my boss.
I have a friend who majorly posts in the daily blog and lifestyle community. Such a person loves sharing how her day went through and I have enjoyed reading every of her post because those words and photos make me feel like I live in same city as her.
Most people I know have switched their consistency of posting from one community to another for reasons best known to them.
This is a special feature Hive has and can't be found on most Web2.

0.00113621 BEE

There are people like that who I just love reading about their daily lives too, they do it so effortlessly and it makes sense.
I guess when you know how to do your thing, someone out there will want and like it. Although I have to agree that not everyone is capable or talented when it comes to creating

0E-8 BEE

Well hive is for people who wishes to stay connected and share the contents that they live with and holds as something that would provide both user engagement and the meaning to what one provides in the blog.
To me Hive is not like other commercial blogs or content sharing sites, rather it is driven by present ideas and sharing them relying on the present demands and time.

Hive really is dynamic respect to time.

0.00113808 BEE

Yes, exactly. Without putting your effort to be more original here, it's difficult to find connections. This place is like a marketplace, and you need to do more searching and meeting and exploring.

0E-8 BEE

Hive is larger than we expect and I think there is a place for everyone. I like gaming so I focus on that and crypto. In a way, there are so many communities so I think that anyone can find a place to be. Its just about searching for that and about the content you are interested in.

0.00087741 BEE

You're right, anyone can find the right community for them. I think gaming is where I've found a lot of creators that I've followed over the years and formed some great acquaintances with them.

Hive makes you more real;

I cannot agree less. One thing that has helped me make Hive a home is the realness in most people I have found, how they pour out their minds and thoughts in their content. This, I do too and it's so relieving doing this, knowing there are people who would relate to my experience, give their thoughtful opinions and we move.

Hive recognises authenticity and value, and this is what I have come to learn in my journey. I love to consume content about someone, their lives and how they are doing.

There is no criticism here. Everyone comes around to chip in their truth and that's what makes Hive wonderful.
