The Crypto Market Cycle: Adoption 101 For Newbies

png_20221125_072805_0000.png

Every bear or bull market will always be the first for a newbie who is excited about Crypto. However, I use to tell people that a newbie should experience bearish situation while they're on the cusp of investing and this isn't because they'll be buying very low which creates the opportunity for them to maximize their investment.

For example, I think the last bull market was the first ever for El Salvador and its president and they did invest when bitcoin was on a momentum, and now that the market is quite on the bearish side, it creates an external aura that they're losing, while they're not technically losing unless they sell, some countries without any knowledge of Crypto might think they have (El Salvador) invested amiss. However, the El Salvadorian president is taking a stance, buying again through the bear, I hope that even if it's wealth in reserve for them, they'll learn the art of taking profit

Because We Might Be Right, But Wrong In some Disposition

Ignorance Is death

Now the ignorance of some people, countries, and government is on them for failing to do their research. But I do believe that we're still on the road to mass adoption, some people say adoption is inevitable since the technology behind Crypto will find a way to creep into the lives of people, (which is true) but if we bank on this sense of certainty, can we adopt even the most backward and hostile financial environment?

We all know that people are supposed to do their research, but one of the reasons why we're typing on a web2-based platform (Twitter) is because we're trying to sell hive, why? Because there are people who are lost on Twitter looking for a place exactly like hive.

Newbies & The Bear Market

Now I was talking about bear markets as the best time for newbies to come into Crypto and this is because of the psychological transcension they'll attain when the bull market comes eventually. I have seen the behavioral pattern of people who got into crypto during the bull market and there are these "FUDish" expectations they place on crypto when they finally hit the apex of the bear.

This is because of how the reality of loss hits differently. Some people already got the wind that after the bear market, the bull market will come, but they think it's just a two or three months thingy and when they've surpassed this timeline and still no bulls, it becomes nervy and they begin to imagine this worse.

This is thrilling because no one is completely built to be accustomed to losing

But....

....the reality is that they don't know they can take advantage of the volatility to their advantage. While some might think worst of the bear market. It is actually one of the most sophisticated ways some crypto OGs have built their wealth.

Personally, I see the bear market as the best orientation for a newbie and that's because they're coming in at a particular market situation, with zero expectations and when they eventually see the bull market, then back again, they'll be accustomed to being under already. However, it's possible to admit that the psychology of people in these two market situations is quite different even if they've experienced a transcension.

The Regret Of Inactions

I came into Crypto 3 months before the bull market, (I think the timing was too short for me to have learned) but even when the bear market came, I experienced the unreal reality of loss. This was because the bear market tore through most of 2018 and probably all of 2019.

Some people dumped all their assets because of the fear that they might go to zero. I use to know a dolphin here who ranted a lot about being half a million dollars rich in the bull of late 2017, but he completely sold all his assets in the bear market because of fear. I mean the fact that he didn't take profit broke him psychologically, he felt he'd be rich forever, even today, he lost all that assets and lost all the opportunities of 2020 and 2021.

Knowing Only One Market Cycle Is Not Enough

Knowing the bull market makes people a completely different version of themselves. This is a different effect from the bear market. Crypto makes people and if they get lost in ignorance it'll break them. I was telling someone yesterday to expect the bear market to last even farther than they think, but the information seemed unreal and unimaginable because they haven't known any bears until now. Anyone who is a newbie and survives this bear might be a different person when they experience the next one (bear market)

It depends because most people tend to focus on the results rather than the process. While the bull market was happening, I saw a ton of people who did not take some profits and they regret their decisions now during the bear market. It's going to be the same when the market turns bull and people feel left out. The market goes in cycles and it's hard to time the market.

You're right, I feel people mostly focus on the result rather than the process. The truth is that we cannot complete predict crypto and when we don't make moves, I feel that it's on people who chose not to. We cannot enjoy what we haven't built.

I wonder how many bear markets we will see before mass adoption πŸ˜‚

one of the reasons why we're typing on a web2-based platform (Twitter) is because we're trying to sell hive, why? Because there are people who are lost on Twitter looking for a place exactly like hive.

Yes, but how many of those people will put in the time necessary to learn about Hive???

Some of these people are already crypto OGs, remember theycallmedan didn't know about hive before. Imagine if we have 10 of the him on-chain. It could be revolutionary.

That's very true... It doesn't take a lot of people to change everything :) Maybe I should do more on my neglected Twitter account.

It's very essential to carryout your research personally, the president of El Salvador, is making a right decision ensuring his country owns one of Bitcoin in a year because right now crypto is heading for mass adoption, so I feel even if we are in the bear sometimes in the future, Elsalvadorians might smile at the president decision in adopting Bitcoin.

Bear comes with FUD but what stops people from putting more effort during the bear market is because of expectations. Bull market creates some unreal reality for us until bear comes with different reality

I feel that what stops people from putting effort during the bear is their fear of uncertainty and their disbelief in crypto. Sometimes it takes the bull market to show them that they've been wrong.

AyyiiiπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ my boss I was getting comforted already that I'm now an adult in cryto world but immediately I saw the next bear market chaiii e weak meπŸ˜‚πŸ™†πŸ™†

But I know another thing that can carry me through which is determination, thank God I don't need to use fiat money to buy Hive, I just need to put a little effort here and I'm rewarded. If I see that my rewards are depreciating it is not going to break me hard like if I'm working somewhere to obtain this coin with my the money as investment

I sincerely agree with you on this one, if a newbie should first of all experience the bear market before the bull, experiencing another bear market is just like being thought what you've been thought in class. My own case wasn't so bad because I have faced allot of challenge outside Hive and before i meet Hive, so I feel whatever that happen here I'm still on the benefiting side compare to the live I once had boss... Let me just brief you about it, "I was doing bet9jaπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚" I am sure you should have idea of the next thing that happened with me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but thank God for my onboarder... So to an extend I'm conversant with what it means to lost even before joining Hive and now I am better even with the bear market and I will be greatly better if the bull market comes tooπŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Its a pleasure reading from your box of powerful knowledge box.. I'm blessed πŸ™πŸ™πŸ’™πŸ™πŸ™β€οΈ

There's no one that can successfully master the Market Cycle, we only grow with the difference cycles we've seen and apply the experience along the way as we go. Anyways I'd like you to know that the bear might last longer than you think. If you've got fiat don't shy away from buying hive, especially if you plan to empancipate yourself completely with crypto.

Bet9ja? Do you own the shop or are you a punter? If it's the former, then it's not bad, this business can lift one. Crypto is the deal, a good plan can set one for life.

Hmmm! This is very deep.. that is why I do suggest that one is always careful to go into investment especially for the crypto investment. One needs to understand some concept before venturing into it if not you will run out back

It's more like, people garner experience from the different market cycle situation.

Yeah but have the better experience is the best.

There are less newbies who came in bear market because majority of people dive in crypto when bitcoin reaching new heights and this is the mentality of the people and i think it is common too because they are new in this industry and they don't have the knowledge of crypto and don't know the technlogy behind the crypto. Thanks for wonderful publication.

This is why crypto is an open book anyone can actually learn, newbie or not, the learning experience matters a lot.

This is the situation, but then again, externally not a lot of people see the strides made by the El Salvadorian president. I hope he doesn't get cowed or intimidated.

Yeah a lot of people fail to see the goodies of the bear market. Aside the obvious opportunity to buy low and cheap during the bear, traders take the bear as an opportunity to take short positions and make good profits as the market succumbs to selling pressure. Most people overlook this, and that’s okay because everyone is not a trader. But if we just look the bear market presents a lot of other opportunities we’re too busy looking at our losses to realize. It even helps us filter out the strong projects, because most often, it is only strong projects that survive the bear, as baseless projects get cleansed from the market.

Truly, Crypto the the future. I believe if one can have a strong mind and buy some crypto now, in the next 5 years it will appreciate in value. Thanks for sharing.
