The original Hive Punks app is a bit slow on my computer and I bet it is slow on other people's computers. I want those NFTs to succeed, but to do that I felt like I had to contribute somehow so I built this app to satisfy a necessity of mine, and to help drive scarcity on those NFTs!
The idea behind this is:
Yes, it is all part of my huge plot to make Hive Punks more valuable! With this app, I bought two of the cheapest punks and now there is only one punk costing 20 HIVE! When it is gone the lowest price will increase!
I wanted to keep buying the cheapest Hive Punks available, so instead of waiting 10 minutes for the website to load everything and another 10 minutes to sort, I decided to build an app that automatically gets the cheapest Hive Punks listed for sale.
It is online temporarily at:
https://cheapest-hive-punks.herokuapp.com/
The code is open source and you can find it at:
https://github.com/igormuba/hivenft
I literally built it in a few hours so the code sucks!
I plan to add more functionalities later, so that you can, for example, get the cheapest punks with certain characteristics you would like (I seriously want some haired punks!)
Alright, that was fun. I used it and I bought the cheapest punk. :) Edited to say I lied, I didn't have the swap.hive in my account. hahaha
I got ahead of myself.

Did you have enough SWAP.HIVE? To me it worked perfectly but I saw that your transaction was broadcasted (on the block explore) successfully with the order to buy, but the punk is still there.
I did not have time to add any error messages yet (and doing so for Hive-Engine is not easy) so there is no feedback. It just posts the JSON to the blockchain and it is up for Hive-Engine to pick it up and do it’s job. I am curious for why did it seem to not work.
Edit: ah yes, I need to find a way to add warning and stuff, people won’t lose money but they might lose opportunities by not having enough funds at the right moment, since the goal is to drive FOMO
Nice work! Hmm you are really interested in punks it seems. Did you try to rent splinterlands nfts? Or risingstar experience? I would love to know more!
I had Splinterlands in the past when it was a very very small game. I am a bit busy with my day-to-day life so I ended up selling because I can't manage those stuff, if I had the cards I wanted to play, you know what I mean? But I am very bad at the game, so I ended up just collecting.
Now, these Punks on Hive are something I can get behind, just buy and forget, just keep collecting (that is why I made this tool). And because of the simplicity, it is easier to get started in developing tools for it! The more tools the more value, I like to invest in things that I can understand and build with.
And splinterlands renting was not enough to convince you to hodl?
I will check it out 😜
