I haven't really paid attention to SPS because I don't play the game. But reading the upgrades and other stuff about it made me believe it is not something to be ignored.

It's a good addiction though :) Last year, I read someone made hundreds of thousands of dollars from it especially with the airdrop. But for some reason, I didn't get to check it out and play it.
