Elon Musk Building an Alternative to ChatGPT?

The billionaire Elon Musk is wondering how initially a non profit OpenAI can turn into a big profitable company.

Recent reports suggested that Elon Musk has approached artificial intelligence approaches in a pursuit of building an alternative to ChatGPT.

Elon Musk, acquiring the social media company back in October 27, 2022 is reported to have been in the founding team of OpenAI and had also served in the company's board of directors until 2018.

Must wondered if it was legal to switch from non profit to for profit. He also wonders why all the non profit entities do that.

Elon Musk also mentions his donation of $100 million to OpenAI when it was a non profit entity.

However, he also claim no control or open stake in the company.

In a tweet he said:

Elon Musk in his recent remarks said that Artificial Intelligence space should be regulated by the governments as he feels in that the usage of the technology should be supervised to ensure a good use of it.

The industry of Artificial Intelligence caught some good hype recently after the release of OpenAI's ChatGPT to public. This also made a way for a new category in the crypto industry, the AI based cryptos.
