Strategy: the important part of splinterlands
We all know how important it is to have a win in splinterlands and now that the ECR system has changed your winning rate is very important which is why you must have a good strategy. There is nothing like a balanced strategy in splinterland because everything depends on your opponent. You might have a good strategy but sometimes your opponent's deck might be stronger than your own which makes your strategy looks weak the truth is good strategy can beat a stronger team.
The strategy does not guarantee a win in splinterlands but it makes your team very hard to beat. If you have been playing this game for a long time you will know that bots strategy can be so annoying because with a very low deck, they simply can get away with wins easily and it is because they have programmed the perfect strategy for each rule set.
Ruleset
Ruleset is so important in the game because in each battle there is always a ruleset attached to it and you can't play against the ruleset because it will be a very terrible mistake. You have to work with the ruleset with the dept of your deck to create a good strategy, no matter how strong a monster is if you place it against the ruleset it will reduce its efficiency. Rulesets are there just to give everybody an equal opportunity and to show you can't only buy your way to the top, you need strategy and to create one you must spend some time with the game.
Mana
Each monster has different mana, we have some with high mana and we have some with low mana, overall I do well with a higher mana cap because it gives me the opportunity to use almost any monster I want and the opportunity to use my strongest monster but I hate low mana cap because I hardly win. After all, most of my strategy is built around high mana but we have some people that invest mainly in low mana cards and build their strategy around it.
Good strategy wins it all
If you can work with a ruleset, mana, and the monsters you have at your disposal it will be very easy for you to create a strategy, your strategy might not guarantee you a win all the time but you will have a higher win percentage and you will be hard to beat no matter your opponent.

I agree that win rate is way more important now that we are in a new energy system. That was the reason why I chose to stay in Silver rank rather than advance my league toward gold. It just hurts that the chest quality has dropped so my rewards have also dropped.
